Midweek Football Thread *spoilers inside so watch out*

why did De Laet never ever get a game for his last club? Don't get me wrong he hardly looks like a world beater but he's a pretty steady eddy from what I've seen.

Stoke wasn't it? Was a bit of an odd buy if I remember, came out of nowhere and everyone was a little bemused. He does look quite composed and I would say he is better defensively than the Rafael/Fabio hybrid at the moment.

we need drunkenmaster to hurry up and tell us all what really happened on the pitch tonight. we're just floundering without him.

He looked quite good tonight, he's not a left back by trade either is he?

Where were teh samba Nevilles?

Arrived as a centre back, not sure if he's played there yet for the first team but he impressed the most at right back last season imo.

No idea on the samba twins, haven't seen Fabio for a while, Rafael is in the progress of recovering from that injury.

Pretty poor match but Vidic was on a personal mission to get the result and that proved enough. He was superb.

Yeah, he was brilliant, back to his best! That moment in the first half where he chased Bentley (I think) to the sideline and then just brushed him off the ball- perfect balance of aggression and technique. He made a great saving tackle from Keane too. Was good to see it again.
