Midweek Football Thread *spoilers*

Fulham 2 nil up just before half-time against Basle.

Zamora with a quick-fire double. Looks like they're going to qualify.

On the bright side De Laet looked pretty competent at Right back and centre back, put that together with an excellent performance at left back a few weeks ago and he is looking like a decent bargain buy!

Far byond "bargain" - it was only a few hundred k wasnt it, daylight robbery if you ask me hahaha (for once it was in Utd's favour).

It was performance related payments iirc :D

Must win game tonight so it's nice to see Torres on the bench :(

If it's Kuyt up top on his own and we don't win Rafa deserves everything that comes his way.

Edit: Ngog upfront \o/

Bit annoyed about this FA rule about having to field your strongest team, managers should be able to pick whatever XI they like, it is their head on the chopping block, not some bigwig at the FA.

I can appreciate that fans who have travelled to watch their team away may be disappointed but the day the FA starts picking the teams is the day I'll give up watching football.

Cesc must have been working on his finishing it's sensational this year, scores nearly every half decent chance he gets

Totally agree, since when did the FA decide who plays for which team. It must suck for the travelling fans but they can't have expected that much against Man Utd anyway

It's utter crap, how many times have the big clubs rested players yet never had this rule mentioned
