I hardly dare mention it but on some of the tiffys the text is black.

New seti tiffys in progress

Blackness is caused by there being no pure white colour in the palette. If you can fix that, great. If not, I'll have a go when I've got time (supposed to be busy this weekend, though I'm not yet).

So in future I need to ensure there is some pure white somewhere in the image for it to work?

Just in the colour palette. Doesn't need to be used anywhere. I think I may have hand-edited the palettes in the SETI ones to 'fix' this.
