The huge fire that could be seen on the map has now been put out & all logs remove.
Have also removed the damaged building that was out at sea near spawn.

The cobble looks all right. I can't actually name the mods here as the minecraft forums at work are blocked

But I think one is Mrmods lighting, grass and minimap patch, then not sure about the texture pack!

My software can't handle changing the .png file to a .jpeg with a image this size.
Cartograph also can not handle world save file the size of 146mb so I had to find a new program to make the map. Also found a image hosting site that will host a image of that file size.

I have cleared the spawn of the 8bit toons and moved them to /warp 8bit , they were blocking to much out.
The spawn has been cleared and is just blank land ready to be built on I have removed the /protect on the land.

So if we can have some good builders please to build something good in its place.
A main train station was metioned as well as the builders names of tefal and topsticks.

Not yet I'm afraid, the files patching was just due to Notch shuffling files around on the web server so the client thought they were new, still same stuff for now unfortunately.

I just tried to light the spawn area up with a little grid of torches till someone figured out what to build there but a few of them just seemed to disappear after a while?

Careful though it just turned ngiht and there's mobs spawning there now.

Aw man.. fire burnt down half my fort. I havent checked yet but according to the cartographic map it has

I made sure any nearby burning trees were well away from it and it survived there for weeks.

I have just checked the spawn and it is /unprotected so not sure why,
have put torches all around but some creepers always come from the beach.

I've manged to find a mod for single player which lets you use commands like in multiplayer /home etc. BUT i can also summon items too which takes the fun out of it which im not going to use. I just hated the fact that if i died i kept on having to find my house again and walking/swimming for 20mins

solved

been scouting for a while to find an isolated island (singleplayer) so i can just build from scratch what i want it to look like... anyway to get a decent map mod which is live? & get a position code?

He is using Betterlight, bettergrass and the minimap mod. Not sure what the texture pack is. If you download betterlight (google it) the patcher will install betterlight/bettergrass/minimap for you.

Edit: oh and that image took under 2 mins. Good image host!

I was just looking at the latest cartographer image and thought to myself, why have we been moved? (a build). I can understand some spawn point things, but we're miles away...

It isn't viewed from the same angle as the last one

Oh no, spent ages finding my hidden house (you can only see 3 brown pixels because of the trees

), then realised my new build is going to run into sea if I keep building in that direction

Edit: Garsands, can you mass-replace blocks? I'd like to build a few (big) domes, but it would be loads easier if I could build from dirt and then you replace with glass

Yes but I will not as it takes the building part away from the game.
I normally use such commands to repair the world or to inprove it like fixing creeper damage around spawn ect

I know nothing about mine carts!

So far I've made a short straight bit of track that a powered cart will trundle a little freight train along.

I don't even know how boosters work >.<

I really shouldn't have done the test pit in obsidian gonna take an age to remove
