well i wouldn't be adverse to it, i'd happily put in the hours if i felt it was worth it.

i've managed other community projects such as this one here;

where i captained a team of miniature painters to 3rd (narrowly missing 2nd) place out of 5 teams, I've also been a guild captain on a (at the time) thriving guild wars guild (over 60 members and after only a month of play) and led them in to the PvP arena with some small successes before splitting off and forming my own guild which again had some small success before college commitments forced me to desist my game time :p.

if i want to do something i generally do it and put the time and effort in, added to that i'm good at planning and coordination.

I really like vincents idea tbh, would be awesome to have a basic city like that. If and when it does come around count me in for working on it, I'm usually free during the day and would be happy to put a lot of time into it. Just remains to find someone who would act as a community leader to organise everything.
 
I just recently started playing Minecraft and was looking for a server to join. I've been a long time reader of the OcUK forums and after seeing this thread, I decided to join and buy the game.

I look forward to seeing what everyone has built and hopefully attempt to build something interesting myself :)

Just to warn any players that are on the server tonight (old alpha build)
anything you build will be lost also the server keeps on crashing due to what I am trying to do.

Gar hasn't decided if there will be a reset yet so we'll have to wait and see what happens.
 
im yet to buy this game, but am i on the right path, thinking that once you buy it, you join a server and can actually socialise with people, building things up together etc?
is it like a lego-esque MMO kind of thing?

Even through I have not been on the server long, I love this game and the OCUK community and would enjoy being involved in helping to plan and help people etc, pretty much online every evening and active in voice chat.
