Minecraft (online Lego essentially)

Just got this last night, watched tutorials, built shelter in a cave, looking forward to tonight to get out exploring!

It would be cool...is multiplayer against eachother then? Or what?

Atm i'm happy mining away on my own, too scared to venture too far out 0_o
 
Multiplayer is just like singleplayer, but without the monster spawn, although you will find the odd cache underground. I would also advise people to stay away from making minecarts as they are incredibly bugged and can cause major lag.

So no monsters in the daytime? Whats the reason for multi then? Just to create random stuff everywhere but mine materials still? :p
 
Pretty cool :)

Going to play this when I get in...if I had a seperate office at work I'd be doing it most of the day I think :p haha

Really want to create cart lines between major sites i make :)
 
Well just make sure you don't make a cart in multiplayer until it's fixed. I did so on our server without knowing and the only way it could be got rid of was by dropping it into the abyss below the map :P

Shant do, not got half the materials yet anyway! :p

Only play on my own currently untill i get an idea of what im actually doing
 
I might have made a bit of a boo boo...

Thinking I'd found a quick method or removing trees.... I may have underestimated how far fire will spread. :eek:

Tempted to try this, but to put it bluntley it looks ****. Iv'e tried reading the official site, but it doesn't seem to give much of an idea what you actually do :confused:

Not to be an arse, but a 10 second skim through this thread at peoples posts and videos would do that.
