Minecraft (online Lego essentially)

A simple house could take no time at all, if you had the bits and were going REALLY simple for hiding purposes.
A few blocks piled up, flat roof, no window, 1 door, etc...

It can be as simple or as complex as you want.

I don't think its a good idea tbh...it'll make it more real, but when you've got 8 mine shafts last 5 mins in each direction, it'll be caotic!

I really hope this does not happen....atleast with the torches

You can make lanterns that never run out, but torches will be short term now. All torches all in the world will be converted to lanterns on Halloween.

Lanterns haven't been added yet.

You can make torches by using a crafting screen and putting a lump of coal above a stick. This gives you 4 torches.

Does anyone know how the circuitry with the redstone works? Saying I want to have a lights with a switch in my house?

so I've downloaded the game, which I can't get to work cause it says something about not being a premium player and having to player online first... I've played online on the website but I'm guessing I still need to be a premium player?

I've had a little player with the standard one on their website in the Java applet thing on the browser.

So far I've done the standard stuff you probably do on your first session. Build my way to the top, dig my way to the very bottom, go to the sea, make a tunnel and dugg at some bits of gold? I'm not quite sure how to do the other bits though... Everyone was saying you mine for stuff as well? I'm not quite sure what this involves

when does it become night time as well so I can see the zombies and build me a safe tunnel?

In fact the online free version thing looks a little different to the screenshot above...

The free version is just creative mode, you can't mine anything you just destroy or place blocks wherever you want. It's the same as what minecraft was a year ago.
