Craft whatever you want, i've built anything ranging from an aircraft carrier to a large castle complex with an underground farm.

Hello

You craft because you need to make things...and you need to make things to avoid the monsters...Like swords, and then you need pick-axes to mine...Then you need to craft to make things for traps! To trap all the monsters and the like...You then make the trap so that when you kill the monsters you can farm from them...to make more things! Like bow and arrows and other things! (cant remember what Ash is used for)...

You can then build a portal to another realm (hell essentially) and move through that if you dare :eek:

It's just fun

Then if you go into multiplayer on servers you know (like ocuk) you can help in community projects, or just add to the city being built...or go off and build you're own thing

Holy... Wow! Such a simple idea but sounds more and more interesting.

Just sayin to you guys, you can dye sheep by right clicking them with the dye equiped, it means you get more coloured wool per dye as they drop from 1-3 wool

How do I build a Roof on something, I just started out this game really, lets say I put up walls , how do I put a roof on if its out in the open?

I know I could dig out a mountain and have a free roof but id like to know. thanks

Its kinda like post apocolyptic surivival, zombie horror, mixed with lego.

You start in the world in the day, with nothing, just the resources in the world around you've got to then find a way to survive, starting off making tools so you can collect resources, and building a safe shelter, then building things to make survival easier and more fun.

er...put a block down (mud or something) then build off of it...then remove the mud...you now have a floating roof

You can hold shift and walk right up to an edge without falling off. So if you stand on your wall, walk towards the opposite wall holding shift until you stop. You can then attach a block onto the one your stood on, then repeat until you span your way across the room to make a ceiling. Then just fill in the rest doing the same. That'll basically give you a flat roof. Or you can stand underneath and attach blocks to the top block of your wall to do the same.

Hard to explain...basically...if you can see a side of a block....you can place another block onto it...underneath it, next to it, on top of it...Then depending on the block 'type' you can remove the attaching block and then the other block will stay there in mid-air!...Unless of course its made of sand for instance...then it won't stick at all regardless
