Minecraft Thread

I overcame that rule and have a hole that goes straight down to the bedrock! Sure, lava was problematic, but once you figure it out, you can place glass blocks around the lava. :)
 
Got this on the PC as well in the end and that is it, I am hooked big time! I'm a console gamer through and through, but couldn't get on with it on 360, but the PC version is fantastic... Started playing it, 6 hours later I was still at it.

The texture pack modding ability really improves it too!

Sounds like a good mod... can't seem to get it to work though? Put the contents of ModLoader in my minecraft.jar and the autoswitch file in there, start the game and hit F10 and nout, doesn't switch my tool at all.

There was no meta-inf folder in my minecraft.jar but in my minecraft-1.2.5.jar, so I deleted the folder in there and copied the same files in there for good measure but still nothing.

Game creates the mods/autoswitch/config.txt for me though.

Have you got mod loader installed ?

You don't need to press anything, just have the tools in you hot bar and mine and it should switch it automatically.

Minecraft is like crack.

Didn't get it on the PC, just didn't seem to itnerest me. Played the trial on xbox and I'm hooked. Christ.

Got my self a huge one story house at the moment, building a moat and walls around the outside to keep the mobs out. Dug downwards underneath the house to mine all the stone needed and came cross an Enemy Spawner... But it had a pig on fire spinning in it?! No idea what that was all about. Destroyed it and carried on mining :D
 
Well I moved to the darkside and got it on pc and my god if you think it's addictive on xbox you haven't seen anything...........

Joined the OcUK server over in the pc thread and some of the builds on it are huge. I would seriously consider it on pc if you are enjoying it on xbox.

Made 2 mob spawners yesterday for teh XP on the pc version with easy access under the house.

For you guys on xbox mark out the mob spawners or prep them ready for the next patch which should include "hunger" and xp.
 
Got my first mob grinder working, just need to add a few more floors to increase the spawns and find some way to stop the bloody spiders getting out!
