Does your house have a double front door? (that is if you have lit it correctly)

I think this is it, as i said got loads of light in and around the house but a double front door, tried sleeping and got mobs then took a door off and no mobs, so now i'm trying to different ways of doing the double doors.

Thanks, loads of light. 2 spaces from the wall? have always had 1 only thing that changed with the house upgrade was the double door.

My god this is too too TOO addictive :D

Was always doing mining by going down & across and making steps down, but last night made a cute little log cabin style mining hut,mined straight down, dropping ladders & torches as I went to illuminate my way up, at some point I must have lost contact with the ladder, dug down, stone disappeared, cue a 5-6 block drop into the middle of a pool of lava...mucho sadness & rage, but hilarity ensued, too :D

Will be around a lot atm on this, xbl: Zippy Saturn if anyone wants another mining companion :)

begbospur is mine, can see me being on this a LOT. So addictive, kind of wished I picked it up for the PC instead mind.

Have double doors on mine & RuMps house and the mobs don't spawn inside, but did when the beds are only 1 space from any wall - has happened when I've made a small base and had it one space from wall too.

Also have had this on PC for a long time, but it's much more relaxing and easier on the Xbox with the controller and the menu for crafting things is a million times better rather than having to Wiki how to make things etc.
 
Been playing this on my brother's 360. Not tried SP but the MP is truly awful. :o

Edit: Wtf, I swear I was typing this for the Max Payne 3 thread. Magic.

It's fine having regular updates, but the one massive thing the 360 version misses out on is the modding community.

Decided to go for the Xbox version of this in the ed and rather enjoying it... But thinking bout getting it on the pc now as I think it is more suited to that and more up to date. Also, the 360 worlds seem so small compared to the pc version... So feels a little clostrophobic and dead.
 
I am losing my life to this game, feel like I've hardly done anything in it. Played it for countless hours, only bought it on Sunday,

Anyone with a relatively good life, don't buy this your life will be gone.
 
I really didn't understand this on the PC, I just couldn't get into it. But on the 360, yikes so much time has been spent on it and I'm still only scratching the surface.

Finding gold proves to be annoying at times, I want to make a railway between all my mining camps & the main house, but just seem to be having no luck falling on gold so far :(
 
what game mode do you need to be playing for night time and mobs to appear? ive been playing for hours and it doesn't seem to get dark or any mobs arrive.
 
How far down are you mining? Whenever I've gone down far enough to come across an already existing cave system, obsidian and to a lesser extent diamond are the only things there's a slight chance I won't come across.

I'd say 9/10 trips if I dig enough I tend to end up with a bit of everything, so just keep mining is the only thing I can suggest.

Try the following: dig straight down until you hit bedrock (unbreakable rock) then come up about 3 steps/squares and start tunnel with branches. I've used this method and have huge reserve of gold, iron and diamonds plus other minerals.
 
Will give it a go, thankss, my current tunnel system is a big hub with 8 70x2x2 tunnels going off, but on bedrock,will setup the next one maybe 7 floors above it and see what comes of it, hmm...multi layered tunnel system sounds fun :D
