Mini keyring-sized digital camera/camcorder

ok so i decided to just try a basic setup i strapped the camera to the rear strutbrace, no padding, just some tape and hope it was pointed in the right direction.

with this in position, after watching the video i can see its not in such a bad position, it needs to go up about 4 inches i would say and it would be perfect

You should be able to save it at pretty much full quality but vastly compressed (as its saved in uncompressed avi). Just open and save with windows movie maker at the right resolution? Or at least crop a few minute section and just upload that (:

I uploaded an uncompressed AVI straight from my digicam to Youtube with no problems, how big was the file from the camera? :)

Looking forward to receiving mine and having a play, will post some driving vids when I get it!

Ordered mine last week, delivery time from china will be at least 7-10 days IMHO so be patient guys :)

Nice idea, I was gonna mount my camera to the front bumper with velcro. :p

These are so cheap and i imagine reasonably simple to take to bits. I hope someone rigs some sort of AA battery pack to one and makes it record in lower resolution 320 x 240 say for 5 or 6 hours. 8gb card for 24hour cctv or something?

it depends on the time you record, if its in the day, the kb/s is much higher than at night.

15mins of daytime filming is 1.14gb, 25mins of night filming is 1.4gb

already done it, works well, but only do it in the daylight, its no good at night, also the microphone has a very small operating range, once a sound exceeds it(that isnt very loud) the sound it records for the next few seconds will be a lot quieter than it normally is.....noticed this first when travelling above 50mph with it strapped for my front bumper.

Yay for the bandwagon, bought two to stick to the go kart, thinking helmet cam and rear wheel/ rear view cam.

I think helmet cams and such for biking/skating are going to be fantastic with this. Not sure what to do when mine arrives... maybe go for a bike ride or something.

Could work very well as a frisbee/boomerang cam too! :D

Fishermen could stick them in a waterproof container and attach them on their lines, it would be cool seeing a fish biting your bait.

Might work in a clear shallow stream?
