Mini keyring-sized digital camera/camcorder

why are people putting them in the car? i don't get why they want to see themselves do a journey they most probably do twice every single day of their life :P

I was just going to use it as intended and have it as my car key ring. Long videos of my car floor swinging to and fro................

well i posted my video to show people the quality of it.

Ill be using it for my top speed runs and when i go track days/nurburgring so i have some footage of the day

im sure thats what most other people with performance cars will use it for

I used it in the car for a start as a test of the quality in a car, sound pickup, and how it took to filming with movement etc.. for £9, it performed excellently! :)

Thats what I'm going to do aswell, I've only got a KA so it wouldn't be a particularly exciting video but it is a good way to see how the camera performs. :p
After that I will probably use it on rollercoasters seen as it's small enough to keep hidden away whilst on the ride.

Owners of this cam: What sort of run time do get recording video? And how long a video can you record? Is there any motion activation settings so it comes on when something moves?

Some sonnofabiatch has been helping themselves to my mail (shared post room in a block of appartments)... Looks like the ideal device to catch the bastid at it! I was even looking at a wireless ip cams but they are too expensive, and might get stolen itself!

there are ones on ebay with sound activation but this model does not. Your looking at about 40mins with a 8gb so if you place it in before the post comes in should be good enough.

Its more like 1 hour record would equate to roughly 4GB. The battery life would limit you to a similar amount as well, the problem with a #3 is that it auto cuts off video after 30 minutes.

If you wanted to leave unattended for that purpose a #4 might suit better. Slightly worse video quality and more duplicated frames but the video cut off point would be 50 minutes. 4GB card plus cam and for 15ish quid you would have a decent chance at catching them.

Mine arrived this morning, it is charging up now after a quick test and to change the clock.
Looks great from what I can tell.

Mine arrived too. How do you changed the time? I have no cd with mine. How long does it need to charge, mine seems to work without charging

Are the 2 other buttons just for show?

Recorded a couple of small vids, does seem excellent for the price
