Mini keyring-sized digital camera/camcorder

Can't figure out whats up with mine. I turn it on and the LED stays bold for a couple of seconds, then flashes for about 10 seconds, then turns off again.
I've tried reseting it, reinserting the memory card etc. Just checked the memory card on a card reader aswell and it's fine.

Edit : Windows 7 recognises the Device but the memory card can't be clicked on. It doesn't show up under Devices with Removable storage either.

EDIT : The damn Micro SD card wasn't inserted properly. ¬¬ All is good now.

Yeah if you look at the variation even between this camera - duplicated frames are ~21/30 on some versions of it. So id be hesitant to buy without seeing a video clip.

So would I unless there is some youtube footage anywhere. you would have thought good footage would have been a major selling point but there's the rub :D

I looped a rubber band through the keyring loop on mine, looped that around my windscreen wiper, and blue tacked it down. Works perfectly.

Wind noise is hella intrusive though. The mic is in the worst position possible for external mounting on a car.

I'm going to experiment with ways of dealing with that, I'm thinking cellotape over the mic hole should get rid of the wind noise but still retain some actual engine noise etc.

I want to do one on the side of my car i was unsure how i was going to pull it off, but i think an elastic band + blue tack off my bonnet catch should work quite well! Thanks for the suggestion xD

I was wondering whether that would work! Please post any success you have in this matter (:

What would be the best tool for reducing file sizes? I don't really want to have to upload several gigs to youtube.
I might have another dable with VirtualDub if I can get hold of a decent codec pack.

Just tried tape over the mic hole but air still gets in via the camera hole. So i tried a spare screen protector over both and the image is unaffected and the wind noise is reduced but not removed.
