Mini keyring-sized digital camera/camcorder

Here's my cat with the cam on:

It's got ear holes, and doesn't bother him too much at all. The only issue with it is that the elastic is a bit shot, so if he shakes his head (like cats tend to), it comes off his ears and acts like a collar.

Need a less knackered sock, and then I/Leo the cat can film away!

Though perhaps a steadicam is thew way forward....:D

:D^

Just been out for a drive. No good at night at all really. Sound keeps clipping to a quieter level whenever there's much noise, which is annoying because it means it's almost unlistenably quiet.

I found similar things were happening on the test clips I recorded, I think it may be more that the camera is boosting the volume if it gets low, like a hard limiter.

How do you get rid of the date/time?

howw can you tell if its a #3 or #5 etc?

you can't get rid of the date/time without Editing the camera's built in firmware by connecting directly to the CPU with the appropriate hardware - risky business.

if it's a #3, it'll have an Amber/orange LED. if it's a #5 it'll have a Blue LED

We need a FAQ in the first post. :p

Just to mention again the best place for information is here:

Someones made a better virtualdub filter to get rid of the time stamp on a #3.

Slightly blurred on the sky, but much better than previous efforts id seen!

Sorry if these have been answered, i tracked back a couple of pages and gave up :)
Best method to order one is to only use sellers others have confirmed ship #3s. When it arrives if you take a test image or recording then you will get a yellow time/date stamp in the bottom right hand corner:

If you really wanted to make sure you could message a seller and ask them to confirm via the same method.

That is brilliant! :D

Im not sure what is going to be funnier. Watching what your cat gets up to or thinking about you spending all your afternoon creating a cat helmet with a camera on it lol

Look forward to seeing what your cat gets up to. Please do plost if it comes back with the camera.

Got mine in the post, doesnt seem to be doing anything. I plug it into the usb port and nothing shows up in windows, thas with the card plugged into it =/

Got it working, used a different cable and it kicked in right away, must have been something wrong with the supplied usb connector.

This looks like the fashion accessory not to be seen without. The guy selling them must be wondering about what’s going on.

I ordered a #3, 4gb card and a Jelly lens.

Today the Jelly lens has turned up.

Awaiting the other two, hopefully tomorrow, then i'll do a trip to work on my bicycle. All 4 minutes of it. Nice scenery though

Wait,

So i have to get a card reader to format the SD card as well?

Can anyone link me to a memory card for these please?
