Mini keyring-sized digital camera/camcorder

So, aiming for a 4gb micro SD card is the way?

Cool, hopefully, I will pick up one this weekend and before sunday :) Will record a nice ride along the A339 for you lot :)

Yes.
Nice one.

No one risking ridicule/harrassment/arrest for some...http://www.youtube.com/user/spycam10?blend=1&ob=4

*Edit. Yes mines just arrived in good order; charging now.
Sorry, yes Frenzy, 8gb would be better I guess; though dearer.

I recorded my drive to work this morning but I was left with an .AVI which was 0 bytes, and obviously didn't play. Only problem is that even after deleting it my memory card apparently has over 500mb used space, even though there is nothing on there :(

● Zero Length AVI file - If the AVI file is zero length because the battery died while recording, don't plug the camera into the PC without turning the camera on. Press and hold the power button for a few seconds till the light comes on and THEN plug it into the PC.

Don't know if it helps.

Can this be charged with a blackberry wall plug charger?

Its the same size USB cable didn't know if it might charge quicker than plugged into the PC or bork the battery completely

Sorry if this has been asked before but do you guys know what the standby time is? I.e. if you don't use it for 2-3 weeks will the battery be dead? Thanks.

Li-ion doesn't drop its charge, it'll be good to go.

I'll check with the little "Apple" adaptor and see if speeds from the camera are any different later.

How did you access the card via the camera?
"Apple adapter"?

*Edit.
Sussed it, used my old Nokia mini usb and it works. :)

You need a USB-A to USB Mini-B to connect it to your computer, it's a very common cable that you get with things like cameras and mobile phones, my camera came with the lead. A few people said the one that comes with the camera is very cheap though and sometimes doesn't work. Another thing I noticed was that it sometimes took a good minute or two before it would appear on my computer as a drive.

I used an Apple iPhone 3G charger and it seemed to work fine, not sure if it charges any faster though.

Well, bought a SD card for 10 quid, 2GB, just went for a few tests on the bike, uploading the one with the best position. 550 megs for a 8 min clip though!!! Going to take over a hour to upload.
