A mak or a 9gt is the only place my money would go now. i have owned them and been around them etc.

So you like to throw money away too then?

The difference between a 5 or 6 and the makinen does not justify the stupid prices.

The 9gt is another rip off. Paying over the odds for a mechanical diff which was the cheap option from the factory.

doesnt justify it no but they are only ones definetly appreciating. ultimately i find them boring also. gt 5 speed box is a good point too

no they wont, boys buying a mak just cause its red over white and paying a 6 grand premium, dont care for 3pence at the pump, or 50p. Especially now as they are being bought as collectable items, doing 500 mile a year

i know a gentleman with 3 maks in his garage, one white one red and one black. If he looks at them twice a year your doing well. Are any them for sale.... nop.

WOW she looks FANTASTIC

the interior is spotless, not a mark anywhere, she has brand new tires and the wheels are fantastic too....the exterior is gleaming and the black rubber trim looks brand new, the engine bay is awesome.

the engine sounds fresh and the exhaust sounds great, quite loud, it definitely looks like a genuine 26 000 miles, i dont know who the hell owned this car, but by God it looks good.

the only non standard part is the brand new Stainless exhaust rear section, it looks like about 4'' dia.

the other two Evos he's sold, you should have seen his other cars...racing Porsches and Ferraris..they were around 300 000 quid each

under the carpets she's pristine........underside too.

now the price ? well i offered him a grand less because areas need polishing, plus i've two others to see :-they will deliver the car to me..

this one is also in perfect condition, not on Ebay, it's on the Ralliart forum, it's 530 HP.....but this one is flipping miles away

this one has a full ground up rebuild thread, so its history is well documented...loads of photos.

so it's either one of these two cars, but this 2nd car might be too powerful for me, because it's forged engine totally rebuilt ( 6000 miles ago) can to go right up to 800HP if needed

strangely enough, this 2nd Evo looks as good as the 1st so this is going to be a hard decision, i've just thought of something, this 2nd Evo will be a bitch to insure, it's non-standard

Evos are selling like crazy, they're very popular, he intends to import many more..... this Evo is definitely superior to the R-Type because i've been in both, esp one as fresh as this.............i'm shocked really shocked !!!

Did you not post this yesterday ?

Not sure I see the point of that car as a road car but whatever floats your boat.

i deleted that post because it looked like i was B*******G, but i wasn't, he's already accepted my offer, i just have to choose which one

what you say is true, because this 2nd car is a monster, he wont let me drive it...but i guess it depends how heavy footed you are

Haven't really commented as the others have said much of what needs to be said.

Only thing to add is things get very expensive, very quickly above 500bhp with Evo's. Go in with your eyes open.

yea, the one i saw today is the most sensible

I'd steer clear of the 500+bhp one. That will be an absolute money pit.

I know you're paying top dollar for the other one. But if you can keep it nice and not drive it too much (good luck with that ;) ) then it could potentially appreciate in your ownership.

There's not many good ones left and there's less and less available from Japan every year.

yea i've said no to him an hour ago, he realised anyway.

the engine seems perfect to me and i'm deffo not going to mod it, all i'll do is replace the oil as soon as possible ( it's already been done recently) the belts/cam belt will need doing at about 40 000 miles

i'm getting her mechanically polished by the showroom before she's delivered, but i've also got a budget set aside for a full respray, because the rest of her looks so good that she deserves it.

it just depends how good she looks after polishing.... she's not market at all, she just looks slightly dull with swirly fine scratches..... because you cant expect much else after 16 years.

she paint job looks like an average 7 year old car , if you see what i mean.

You've paid £15,000 for an enormously overpriced Evo on the basis that its 'totally mint' yet it needs a full respray?

This thread feels like a trollthread.
