I think it popped up for me when I did a sync? See if that does it, because it was only a notification which asked me to open Software Update

.Mac synched when I woke my machine up this morning, that prompted me to run software update. Downloaded iTunes 7.7 and the MobileMe Updater, then, when .Mac synched again, the new icon was there.

me.com's started working for me [edit] Bah! Was working for all of 5 minutes

Mine is set to sync automatically to .mac, it's still doing that this morning. I did a manual 'Sync Now', it did it successfully. Software Update shows nothing and .mac is still in preferences.

I've got iTunes 7.7 but not the 2.0 upgrade to the Touch yet, maybe later.

Able to sign in via system preferences, but it's still only showing 5Gb.

Just been able to create a trial at me.com. Problem is I need iPhone firmware 2.0 and Leopard 10.5.4 that I don't have !

With a family pack, do individuals only get 5.0Gb per account? I thought it was 20 :S

I am actually looking forward to mobileme, I can feel myself getting sucked into the whole Apple / Mac world.

I said the iPhone was pants, now I wouldn't be without it!

I don't seem to be able to get anything to sync, Mobile me has all my contacts, a couple of calender entries i have created but my iPhone contacts are blank and there are no calendar items.

It's a service, you simply configure it and it does it's thing.

Remember to leave off the @mac/me.com. I've had no problems since it miraculously started working.

Go into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > your .Mac/MobileMe account, and enable contacts etc.

It'll warn you that synching over the air will erase the contacts/calendars on your phone, then you should be set.

I take it you mean on the iPhone, i just tried, the 4 options were already to set to "on"
