'Modem mode' VM firmware imminent ? Looks like it.....

As anyone here not got the firmware yet? Is there anything I need to do my end (Tried resetting the modem, but not getting any firmware updates) Also, I don't get the screen where you can choose the advanced settings. I guess I have a different non 'super' hub.

*Edit* Ah, just looked on the VM Forums and it appears, these hubs (VMDG280) wont be updated yet.

My hub restarted about an hour and a half ago. I've not noticed anything new though.

Software Version V5.5.2R30

I'm not sure if that's even changed.

so just had the superhub installed and having all the usual problems. ill unplug and see if that updates the firmware but once done so how do i go in and enable modem mode? i will then reconnect my old dlink router - assuming i connect the superhub to the dlink 'internet' port?

Type in your Router's IP Address in to your browser, then put in the user and password (Normally found on the bottom on the router if you havent changed the password yet). From there, click on advanced settings and then on the next screen, on the left, you should see 'Advanced' and under there should be Modem mode.

5 days and no lockups on R30. Just put my other router away. my only niggle now is the poor wireless signal but other i have no problems

Modem-mode has been just dandy for me

No idea if the SH works better or not, with R30, but happy to have a fully functioning network and services again !

since r30 my wired connection has started getting drop outs

I'm getting VM 30MB Monday, with a "super hub". Is it best to put it in modem mode and use my own router then? I'll only be using wired.

If your only using wired then just use the superhub,the only reason to use it in modem mode is if your having problems with the super hubs wireless.
