Modern Warfare 2 Hacks & Exploits

VAC is no good, never has been never will be. Punkbuster at least filters out most Public hacks. Leaving only the people sad enough to pay for them.

With VAC anyone can hack and get away with it for at least 6 weeks before they are banned, but most cases the hacks don't get detected until about a month after its released. By that time a new one is already out.

Only thing L4D2 and MW2 have in common is the guns. If you like instant respawns and ramboing in a dumbed down console gamer experience then sure, pick MW2. If you want something that actually involves tactics, teamwork and competitive play then you pick L4D2.

At the end of the day, whatever your preference between L4D2 and MW2, its between MW2 and MW that counts and frankly, MW2 fails at everything other than being newer compared with MW.

How does it fail at everything? Apart from the dedicated servers/vac its a very enjoyable online experience. Its only people that wanted it to fail in the beginning that keep hating it mostly. L4D2 may be better with teamwork, but so is MW2 - in fact many hours we've enjoyed playin as a group against another group using tactics. L4D2 is a very limited game and I can only play for an hour or so at a time else I get incredibly bored.

What was wrong with COD2? Spent many many hours on that, was essentially COD1 but with updated gfx, the changes were minimal. I do agree that UO is amazing however, though I hate playing it now as it feels too "old school" to play
 
well they got there money from you's all whom bought it , and in turn provide you with a bad support.

we all said so but you all did go out and buy it :-)

PS never bought that crap as I new how bull it is and we have all gathered by now EA took your money and wiped there hands off this game :-)

uo - cod 2 is night and day differences :confused:

uo is a game like cod 1 u had to learn and took a good while where cod 2 started the xbox nabness style of play. cod uo rifle shot not precise no cigar cod 2 shoot a rifle like 2 foot to side they die :D its this kind of goonery that has lead to this kind of game.

the graphics were very plasticy aswell.

Nade indicator, red dots on radar and no recoil. Hit indicator, hitboxes were hugely different.

Whatever happened to listening for grenades and enemies? Controlling recoil.

And i can still play UO without going 'ew' at the graphics, its still a nice looking game. With digital vibrance :D

I got my moneys worth with this game. I finished the SP and enjoyed every minute of it. I enjoyed my time playing the mp up until I was around lvl60 (2-3 weeks after release).

MW2 is an excellent game, by far one of the best shooters out there today. It is just let down by the god awful online system.

How much did you pay for it? I still can't justify the price of the game given the problems it currently has and a 6 hour SP campaign doesn't seem worth the rest of the money.

I little bit contradictory, though I'm sure I've said stuff like this in the past :p. The problem is that the CoD games have always been about their MP. The fact that the mp on this has been such a colossal failure makes the game itself a failure. They made all these changes and its ruining the on-line experience for the genuine customers.

I believe thats a direct contradiction... it can't be both a great shooter and suck online when the MP is the biggest part of it.
 
TBH anyone whos played 3 hours of MW2 lately and think they didn't run into a hacker/exploiter is either not very good and assume everyones just better, way to frequently giving people the benefit of the doubt or just not very good at spotting them.

Almost every game theres 2-3 people who are obviously using wallhacks, 1 in 6-7 players using various exploits/hacks to make themselves hard to hit or so they can run faster than they should and if your not running into someone blatantly aimbotting every 3rd game you are deffinatly not playing the same game I am.

Every suspicious kill, I watch killcam to see any jerkyness and things and I never spot anything when I look back and instantly blame myself for not reacting quick enough or something. I never notice people to have kkkrazy out of the ordinary scores either (Like that 100+/4 or whatever it was on one of those videos) so I don't even instantly think, oh there might be a hacker here. Thing is, whenever you cry hacker I find everyone else just says 'shut up stop whining' and stuff. Can't win really.

I've noticed plenty of people with prestige medals that they blatantly did not earn, and they tend to play crap.



If we believe we have found a hacker though, how can we actually go about making a complaint?
 
I pretty much only play free for all and I win most games that I play. Either these hackers are worse than me even with hacks (highly unlikely) or it's just that there aren't as many hackers as you're making out.
Like I say, 5 and a half days of play time and I've seen 2 aimbots. Wallhacks, I've had my suspicions a few times but I still come top so it makes no odds to me.
I really think that people are just paranoid and seeing hacks where there are none. I've been accused of cheating god knows how many times and I wouldn't dream of it. People accuse others of hacking, I watch their killcams when they get me and they're clearly not hacking at all.
 
I don't really play ffa so no idea what its like for cheating - but I play most of the other gametypes and its pretty common - groundwar is probably the worst but some of the other modes aren't far behind... I could upload videos all day long of blatantly obvious cheating.
 
I'm so glad I didn't buy this in the end, the hackers would be infuriating me but the look of it. I can't justify the cost just for SP

Remember, just because they are cheating doesn't mean they are good at the game.

Some try to hide it by turning it off for a bit, die a number of times, then turn it back on and all of a sudden they are good again...

Then you get ones soooo stupid, tracing you through a wall...
And you get those that drop to prone and aim up before seeing you and you have either silent footsteps or were crouched.
