Monaco Grand Prix 2012, Monte Carlo - Race 6/20

What a boring race, but then it's Monaco, it always is.

Crofty is bloody annoying at times also, although not as bad as preovious lead commentators (excluding Brundle).

Ted just showed the legal and not legal version of the floor slots on the Sauber and Red Bull *Sauber legal, Red Bull not legal*

Protest expected to happen soon from Ferrari

Ted's cameraman is a bit useless today though.

I admit the middle part of the race was not the most thrilling. I had to go make a coffee to give me a bit of a wake up. Though the last bit was one of the more interesting for this race for the past couple years iirc.

Something seriously drastic would have to happen to have this race removed from the calendar. It is the place where a huge portion of the team's marketing goes. A comment by the one of the BBC presenters mentioned that the race was already considered to tight and unsafe... when the race 1st started in 1926 or something crazy like that.

But the race does have a lot of hype and tradition and all those things that make people want to go there. I still think this race is more interesting then a couple of the new tracks.

Mclaren put stops still aren't good enough and lost LH a place.
After the testing, The others seem to of fought and overtaken McLaren. But that's not as hard as previuse years, this season your looking for such small amounts time. It could swap around several times. Not like previuse years where the fastest car is 3tenth or more ahead.

JB poor qualifying is really letting him down, again as the cars are so close together. This year a poor qualifying can loose you 6or so places, where in past years, it might of only lost you two places.

The end was exciting when Webber started to do 1:22s and suddenly the top 6 were completely bunched up. But it quickly became less interesting 2 or 3 laps later when it was obvious that getting slightly closer together would be the only change.

That was a dull race, even by Monaco standards. Only saw one overtake on track? Congrats to Webber for keeping his nose clean throughout and Vettels strategy.

Any circuit where there's no overtaking.. scrap it. How can anyone 'race' at monaco if you can't get alongside another car and battle with him. It's just a single file procession of cars down a very narrow track. Pretty boring tbh.

looks like alonsos fault on the skypad for driving into a gap that was never big enogh and forcing a grosjean into schumachers path

Certainly part of the instigation of the incident.

I'm waiting for someone to blame Hamilton for getting a slow start causing Alonso to have to move over... :D
