Monaco Grand Prix 2012, Monte Carlo - Race 6/20

i cant find the start from alonsos camera but i dont understand why grosjean gave alonso room to go down the middle in the first place as when alonso first started to slowly drift to that side there was even gap for half an f1 car

grosjean never checks his left on any of the photos so the stewards should have blamed him for not laving a cars width like the rules say :P

I think it's pretty clear Rubens had a no 2 contract. When he gave up second place at Austria in 2001 he stated that the team would never ask him to do it if he was leading.

12 months later Rubens was told to yield at Austria from the lead, this in a season where Ferrari was utterly dominant and had no challengers. Rubens finished the season 2nd on almost half as many points as Ms.

You would have to be deluded to believe Rubens had no number 2 contract. Why else would he make himself look a complete pillock.

If you read his book then you will know he had no no2 contract, which is why Todt was pleading with him to move over, then threatening him to move over, Rubens is not shy when it comes to saying things about Ferrari, if MS had a no1 contract he would be shouting about it by now.

At Austria 2002 Rubens had 6 points, MS had 44, clearly Rubens was not going to win the title. Montoya was on about 23 or something and Ralf close behind and the Williams looked pretty strong it was only the 6th race after all so Ferrari took the chance to give MS a boost, in hindsight he never needed it as Williams went backwards, but at the time it was not a given that Ferrari would dominate.

Sorry I forgot, MSC can do no wrong

Remind me why the rules where clarified/introduced on overtaking?
Aren't the rules applied differently at the start of the race? Are you referring to Article 20.3?
Are you suggesting Grosjean should not have reacted to Alonso moving over and therefore been hit by Alonso and then probably still hitting MSC?

Just something else that shows how Jenson is clearly being dominated by Hamilton more than Massa is being dominated by Alonso

Lol at massa being the only person who hasn't out qualified his team mate even once except for HRT guys.

Massa 9 points in last 3 races, Jenson 2 points in last 3 races.

Says all you need to know, no points given in qualifying you know :)

But given the stats were posted that Massa is closer to Alonso in qual than Jenson is to Lewis in qual then I really fail to see your point? Lewis is dominating Jenson in qualifying, racing, and scoring points.

And Jenson dominated Lewis last season in the WDC... and this season isn't even half way yet... what's your point?

Do you get some sort of special prize for leading your team mate a measly 6 races in or have I been living under a rock?

Last season means nothing, my point is Lewis is dominating Jenson, just like Alonso is dominating Massa this season.

And Tottenham were dominating Arsenal for 3/4 of the season in the Premiership last season, but who finished ahead ?

That's right, Arsenal.

So what the **** has 6 races got to do with anything? I find all this who's doing better stuff pathetic tbh, considering it's so early on. Wait until the season's properly got going and then we'll see who is doing what.

We can only discuss what has happened, not what might happen, just like 99% of people on here will take great delight in Massa or MS doing poorly, yet when it comes home to roost to a forum favourite then it should not be discussed....you are free to wait till the end of the season off course to discuss who is performing well or not.

You can discuss who's doing better than their team mate if you want. I just don't see why you're stating things as though there's some sort of achievement for it.

Well there is the points difference which if I am not mistaken the first 6 races count towards the final standings? And off course if a team mate is being soundly beaten then the team will start to focus on the dominant driver, so yes there is some achievement to be made even after 6 races IMO.

who's the only McLaren driver to win a race this season....hey while we are at it, whos the only McLaren driver to come 2nd this season also....

Here's a clue - it aint Lewis :D

But carry on cherry picking all you like

Which McLaren driver has 63 points? clue it's not Jenson, but if you want to cherry pick we can carry on.

Which McLaren driver is behind Kimi in the standings, clue it's not Lewis

Which McLaren driver has scored 2 points in the last 3 races, clue it's not Lewis.

Which McLaren driver lost his pole and probably win due to a team error, yet started from the back and still outscored the other driver, clue it's not Jenson.

And let's not forget China where everyone knows Jenson would have collected a second win this season had it not been for his pit crew holding him back for 10 seconds whilst they tried sorting the car out....

No one can deny that Jenson wouldn't have been able to hunt down Rosberg and overtake him...

Incidentally this was the race where he beat Lewis to finish second. Something, as said, Lewis has not been able to achieve.
