Well, start is done so race is over. Absolutely no one even remotely looks like they are pushing the guy in front, no one is all over the back of anyone, no one believes there is any chance to overtake at all.

One of the issues is, say now they think Hamilton will just stay out after others pit and he might make up time in clear air, which could be true... but because of the way the tires are everyone could wait till 3 laps before the end to pit precisely because it's the only way anyone is going to lose or make up places. I'll laugh if everyone tries the same strategy and it ends up working up for absolutely no one.

Seriously, the race is soooo bad here and the qualifying so good, why not just have 3-4 qualifying sessions over the two days instead of having the race at all.

Monaco has always been one for the drivers, a fantastic challenge but sadly you need to be behind the wheel to feel the love.

78 laps, someone will bin it as they get tired. Got two rookies and Palmer out there poised to make a mess. Plus there's two Honda powered cars to get stuck somewherew awkward. But yeah, no wheel-to-wheel action looks even possible to be honest.

Go Kimi! I hope he pulls a good gap and they don't play a sneaky game of swapping them. We need more people winning.

Enough with the hate, it's a far more interesting challenge than a Tilke track.

It's not a challenge though, going for the fastest lap possible is a challenge. They aren't pushing hard in the race. If the guy ahead goes 2 seconds slower.... you still can't overtake, so there is no point going for 3mm from the walls because you can go 6 inches from the wall, much much slower and the car behind is still no threat.

The race is a challenge only in concentration. Everyone is cruising around trying not to lose concentration, the pushing and the limits they get close to in qualifying are 100% different to the race here. At other tracks you push in qualifying but if you drop time in the race the guys behind can pass you so you can't back off that much.

Last year, Ricciardo did a lap 7 seconds faster on the intermediates after Hamilton on the wets pitted. He was literally 7 seconds faster per lap than Hamilton and could not pass him.... this track for racing with modern cars is horrendous.

Looking at some of the on board footage over the years(which still doesn't really convey it as being behind the wheel) it looks awesome! :O the drivers must love it for the challenge.

The other people who probably love it are the people partying on super yachts and things. :D

We just have to sit here waiting for rain, failures or safety cars.

The only thing Monaco would be good for is motorbikes, at least they can overtake. With F1 cars, no chance. Just a boring procession. Hamilton still in 12th after 13 laps. Any other circuit he would have been amongst the top 5 by now.

I feel sorry for the commentators having to try and make it sound exciting and the guys that have to come up with an hour of highlights.. Haha! :p

Yet I'm still sat here watching it? So there you go. Lol!
