So many legendary races in the past were wet. If anything it’s almost safer to go while wet because they won’t be driving as fast, and therefore any incidents will be less severe.

Reduce danger to minimal.

This is following the classic F1 wet script, mostly stopped raining, everyone's sat with their finger up their **** and announced nothing starting or even exploring starting, by the time they do it'll either be a) raining again or b) dry enough to fry an egg on the track.

This would be infinitely less tedious if the race direction plans/processes were updated via the broadcast graphics so you at least knew if they were planning on checking the track any time soon for example
