As for Monaco, the cars can follow so closely, really all it needs is just one good solid overtaking spot. Maybe eat into the park more around Mirabeau, and extend the corner with artificial banking. There is a little space at the outside of the hairpin if they wanted to build something. IIRC there is a car dealership where with small car park/forecourt.

The little space is a persons wide footpath then bollards and a wall from memory. It's a Hotel / Casino - they actually go under it for the tunnel :) & the car park under there is staffed by very rude people from my experience :D

Mirabeau would be good but would need a wall knocking down & tarmacing also, doubt they'd do it plus you wouldn't want to be on the inside of that corner. F1 imo has simply outgrown the constraints of the narrow streets of Monaco with the size of cars these days.

Front suspension on the Merc looks unusual, looks like it has additional elements, for aero presumably.

Is that an update? or something I'm just noticing..

Edit: appears to be similar in the last race.
 
F1 has outgrown Monaco. They should really think about either changing the format or just binning it off.

I get that it's a spectacle and probably brings in a lot of money but as fun as the Saturday is the Sunday is often dire.
 
I won't be watching this one.
I'll watch the really short highlights. Not even the c4 highlights.

It's dull 9 times out of 10.

I'm finding it quite funny that he thinks they are making far too big a deal out of this and he is the one that keeps talking about it. Just do as you are told Lewis. Rules are rules and you get paid an obscene amount of money. Its pathetic.
 
I did wonder what all the fuss was about, until I read that it interferes with an emergency MRI's in a case like Massa had. Just take the damn piercing out and do what you're paid an obscene amount of money to do. Oh, and the pants are for the safety of your arse, not anybody else's. Just remember, Lewis wanted to remove the halo from his car in 2016 as well. He'd probably be a cripple now if he'd won that argument.
