Monetary gift/present for house cleaner at Christmas?

Can't believe I'm writing this.

Would you give your cleaner a gift for Christmas?
She's employed and must be on minimum wage as I don't really pay the company much who she works for.

I'd rather give cash in a card as that's what I'd prefer.

We've had a few cleaners from this company and requested this particular one as she's so much better than any of the others.

I expect mockery for this thread.

My mum did the odd bit of cleaning after giving up child minding. She initially worked for an agency but went self employed because word of mouth from those that employed her meant she was constantly being asked by other clients to help out their family / friends. By removing the middle man she was able to increase her take home per hour and every single client she had would pay her holiday pay and something extra at xmas. Either a load of alcohol, 2 x 1 litre of vodka, gin, rum etc or something of the value of about £100-120. This was early 2000s too.

Yes, we normally do $100.

They do do* non-store specific cards, normally VISA and Mastercard but sometimes the other flavour we don't talk about.

No mockery, straight up flattery.

if you live in Zurich, or St Gallen which is where she lives.

I'm a part time cleaner I received nothing from my employer for Christmas which was no problem I wasn't expecting anything anyway. OP's suggestion is really nice I'm sure their cleaner will appreciate it.
