Monster Studio A45 Collaboration Project - Sponsored

one for the address book. I've already done the design work for a Quadro P400 block, but always good to have references.

Definitely one to reach out to if you want your design to come to life. I've seen his work from another creator and it's pretty good, especially for the price.

The P400 block is part of a bigger run of stuff I'm going to get Alex to quote on, but the more options the better before I decide I can't afford any of it and Asteria 3 stays in Fusion 360 like she's done for the past 3 years :P

Wish i had the machinery and tooling to help you out here, truth is i'm relying on others to get stuff done for me when it comes to some of the custom work. Maybe one day when i get big enough and have enough in contracts to actually start purchasing machinery and tooling to make my own workshop.

And huge thanks to Antec @Ace Modder for sponsoring this build with some of their new products! Their new SF850 ATX 3.1 SFX psu arrived along with some Storm T3 Fans (30mm thick) and i cannot wait to try these out! Went with some non rgb fans to balance the build out, plus not the biggest fan of rgb as i love subtleness.

Antec played a huge part in my early days of pc building, my very first proper pc case was an Antec Mini P180, so seeing them come back strong with some exciting new products is abit of a nostalgia for me personally.

Unboxing video and some product shots coming later this week.

Abit more progress on the Black Version tonight, custom brackets to mount the radiators have been designed so i just need to take them to get laser cut next.

It's starting to look pretty wild

The dual res's look great, is the pump getting tucked away underneath the frame?

Also for the rad, what size are you using and do the brackets you've designed attach to the side (where res was in previous pics) or elsewhere?

As always, looking great and can't wait to see what you do with it :)

Undecided yet, originally i was gonna hang it off the back using the mounting points on the Res brackets but it will highly depend on which pump unit i use.

I'm using 2 x 240mm radiators and they will be hanging off each side of the mounting brackets for the Reservoir in like a wing design.

The CPU block might be replaced with something else... i have something arriving shortly that's quite special :D but will over complicate the build and it's gonna depend on space as well.

Test mount radiator (temp) with the new bracket and also test mounting the Storm T3 Fans. The non RGB Fans was definitely the right choice! Though im curious as to how the Tranquil 120mm fans would have looked here instead. The actual radiators should arrive tomorrow along with a possible replacement cpu block (space dependent).

Also testing out my Sigma 23mm f1.4 lens here to replace the 30mm lens i've been using. The quality is a lot better! Much happier with the sharpness and overall picture quality.

oh boy it's here! Bitspower Revo series cpu waterblock! Tubeless waterblock we saw at CES this year in collaboration with Modding Cafe. I have number 17 it seems according to the serial number. I had to modify the psu mount at the back to allow for the cpu block to fit but it wasn't too much work. Bitspower also sent over their new Leviathan II radiators in 240mm and 120mm flavours though i haven't quite figured if im going to mount the 120mm radiators yet.

Didn't realise you were going for the Revo block - this is going to look incredible!

Do you know how they compare in terms of restriction vs normal blocks?

Oh yes! Been waiting for a good 2 months for my sample to arrive. Its well worth the wait!

Restriction wise, i reckon it won’t be any worse than having QD’s in the loop. I will test this though.

I’m currently thinking a dual loop system but i also want the ability to connect this to my MORA setup if need be.

Lots of brainstorming still.

Yeah fair.... If I need a new block I might be kinda tempted, but not at £1200! (I assume that's a placeholder price for AMD lol)
Not sure how how it works, would it be 'lesser of #N evils', or additive?....
I'm still at 2xRads with one DDC and no GPU block/QDC stages!

It's absolutely a placeholder LOL, i think they're the same price as the intel version i have.

Nah honestly it's nothing extra compared to a normal block, just everything has been routed behind the motherboard. There's 6 G1/4 points at the rear to route the tubing so plenty of options too.

I will test to see how one D5 fairs compared to the 2, i still think 1 is enough though.

I needed something to support the radiators as they were bending quite abit on the mounting frame. What better than to utilise Tie Rods for splitters and Canards in motorsport. I had to change out the mounting points with my own hardware to fit on both ends but it worked out great.

Tbh I'm more tempted by that than spending £100+ on a 'normal' block. but still it seems kinda mad to spend that much on a CPU block... same with GPU, last time I watercooled was an EOL 780ti block (£30!) would love to get back to fully WC but £300+ on CPU and GPU blocks is bat-**** crazy lmao... I'm on the brink of binning my rads and going fully AC lol

If you had a look at how much EK was charging for some of their special edition blocks, i would much rather pay this for a actual special block that is designed by an actual modder and collaborated with a brand for mass release, it's a fantastic idea tbh. The frames are interchangeable too since its on magnets so you could ask Ban from Modding Cafe for some custom ones or even make your own .

Don't (****ng) tempt me lol......
My first loop cost me about £100... that seems like a strangley old memory now :P
Still hanging on to my Enthoo Primo cos 480 rad, although could downsize and mount that under my desk!

go onnnnn, it'll be the last waterblock you ever buy :p. £100 is a dream, it closer to £1k now for a fully fledged, all bells and whistle custom loop with displays etc.

Can't tempt you with a Mini build at all? :D:p

I could be tempted... But you can't do it on your own (unless you have 'assets' that you wouldn't want to allude to on the forums :p).... The issue is that I'm cheap - if my xspc raystorm (v3 I think) AM4 block will do, then I'm kinda tempted :D
By which I mean... Have enough of an ATX mobo and don't wanna splash out on an ITX. Maybe next gen (or the one after that)

I know of a few that do come here anonymously to check up on the progress of the builds i do :p.

ITX isn't getting cheaper unfortunately, i thought the new X870 boards would lower the pricing but it seems to be on a up hill climb still. Have to wait and see what Intel's Arrow lake brings and what pricing it comes in at. Hopefully not another £400 itx board for their Z series.
