It wouldn't go, they need back pressure to work. That's why the pipes have the big lump in them, it's an expansion chamber.

I ride a Vespa ET4 50,

Not as loud as a 2 stroke as its a 4 stroke machine,

It will go 45mph, wouldnt dream of using the dual carriageway though, i sue it around town and on occasion single lane A roads where i always move aside for faster traffic.

Another thing i do is stay in the queue! rather than lane splitting to get to the front!

Dont mind vespas/lambrettas.

I was out on the bike today - 150 miles from Harrogate > pickering > whitby > scarborough > home and must have passed about 300 scooters. Must have been a big rally going on in scarborough. I could smell the 2 stroke for most of my journey home. Some were struggling to keep up, but generally the bank holiday traffic was slowing the cars down to sub 50mph anyway.

How old do you have to be in the UK to drive 125 ccm bikes? In Norway, where I happen to live, you can drive them from when you're 16, even though they are restricted to 15 bhp (you can easily double that with minor modifications)
