Mortgage Rate Rises

This is all plasterboard.
The plasterboard was in too bad a shape to paint over. So reskim was best way.

I remember when everyone was crying about the polish builders coming over here undercutting UK builders. Pendulum swung the other way on that hasn't it.
Whats funny is that my builder is polish and he is soo ooo busy!!!

@GordyR needs to post his man cave here pronto.

Good shout, I’m usually not one for those sorts of threads but I’ll post some in the morning.

The little man has just gone down so I’m already enjoying a bottle of red propped at the bar, but the last thing I want to do is mess about with imgbb or any other awkward hosting tonight.

The missus has promised me cocktails in a moment too, so I’ll get some up to date drinky snaps.

Agreed. Then we can all see and laugh at how much he got ripped off for £60k :p

Hugely… :(

I paid for lots of the materials directly, myself, in an effort to keep costs down in the hope of predominately just paying for labour.

Turns out that probably wasn’t a good idea.

Not jealous at all... Honest!
I just have a little app. "share" the photo to the app. And then get a link you can paste in

Materials are nuts prices these days. Someone wanted some kitchen doors replacing so I priced up 6 kitchen doors and a draw pack from Howdens ..... £640.
Fencing... I used to get 6" contract closeboard panels for under £30. Now there nearly £60.
