Most arrogant profession?

Any one that tells you how much they earn when you ask them what they do lol.

I always hate that at partys and the such... what do you do well I do blah blah which earns me 40k a year Or Hi i'm Jacob and I net 100k a year.

Ok **** I only asked what you did not how much you earn a year :p

On the subject of Doctors receptionists...

Me too. Easily the most difficult professionals I have the (dis)pleasure of dealing with at work.

Having lived with one for the best part of a decade I can say that the feeling is often mutual. If you think about it the only calls they get are complaints, sick people phoning in for something or relatives of someone ill - typically the available appointments are at an inconvenient time etc....

The more polite you are to them the more helpful they tend to be!

But agreed, get a bad one and you may as well stay ill!

I didn't have any problem at all with our estate agent. It was the 'independant' mortgage advisor that worked at the agent's that was a nobber.

The 'independant' mortgage advisor at the estate agent I got my house through told me I couldn't have the house at the offered price unless I went with him. When I told him this was illegal and that I was getting annoyed with the way this was going. He started getting aggressive with me spouting all sorts of rubbish like he was the only one who could make the deal go through, other mortgage lenders couldn't pay up etc. He almost cost the estate agent the sale. Which is a shame because the estate agent actually did an excellent job, which judging by this thread not many of them do.

I think he decided I was a soft touch because I was a first time buyer and I had my parents with me. Needless to say I'm not a soft touch and he no longer works at that estate agent.

Traffic wardens - not had much in the way of dealings with these buggers personally, but there's a ginger-haired one that marches round the town where I work with a permanent sneer or scowl on his face. He's the sort of bloke I can imagine being relentlessly bullied as a child and chose his career as a means of getting his own back ...

Other than that, I'd say estate agents ... absolutely hateful smug ***** the lot of them.

You would be too if you were Gods chosen people.

:D

I find its more the individual who is arrogant, and the profession they choose makes them even more arrogant. You could have 2 people working in the same role side by side; one could be the most arrogant man you've met and the other one could be the most down to earth. Estate agents for example I find are incredibly arrogant, but the job attracts the arrogant type to begin with...company car, commission, talking the talk, etc, but Ive met a few really nice estate agents who aren't arrogant at all.
