Most hated player in Britain

Roy Keane should be number one, purposely ending someones career is far worse than anything anyone else I can think of has done. He is the dirt of the earth. Ferguson is just a plank aswell, a thug on the pitch more than anything.

Who's career did he end then?

No seriously, the only player I can think he is referring to would be Alf-Inge Haaland.

But this wasn't a Career ending incident.

I can see that the player who is in shot is Dennis Irwin  and I am sorry for "showing my ignorance" and failing to understand that DB's career ending "accident" was "caused" by Brian McClair......So who was responsible if not he?

Less of the rolleyes.

You're getting me confused. Try not to put quotes around certain words. Just say what you mean.

Was Busst injury, in your opinion, caused by:-

a)Denis Irwin
b)Brian McClair
c)Complete accident

If you agree with me that his injury came from an accident, then you are correct. Accidents are the result of UNINTENTIONAL actions. So therefore, no one is to blame.

Rooney (England liability)

lol? Rooney is more like England saviour rather than England liability, take Euro 2004 for example. He's certainly cleaned up his act and matured lots recently, I don't think he's a liability anymore, he gets booked just as much as the next player these days.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Busst

"David Busst is most famous for an horrific career-ending broken leg in a Premiership match on April 8, 1996 for Coventry, against Manchester United. Two minutes into the match, Busst collided with United players Denis Irwin and Brian McClair, resulting in extensive fractures to both the tibia and fibula of his right leg. The match had to be delayed for 15 minutes while the blood was cleaned off the pitch. It is reputed that Manchester United's goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel vomited on the pitch upon seeing the injury and had to have counselling afterwards."

**So, David Busst's injuries were the result of a collision. The reference above neither blames anyone or mentions the word accident...however, Brian McClair's foot caused the broken leg.

It must be true if wikipedia says so. :p

So, from posting a picture of what you said was Roy Keane ending Busst's career, you are now saying that it was Brian McClair. You got the right player in the end.

I asked the question is it Brian McClair in the post with the pic.....and the reason I posted that pic was because I thought that was Roy Keane's career ending challenge on another player (I got confused with the Haaland challenge which was Roy Keane but not career ending  ).
Well, I am gonna get my coat anyway because I wasn't even the person who said he hates Roy Keane, infact, I love Roy Keane and he never ended anyone's career.

- April 2001, Keane tackles Alf-Inge Haaland. It was a horrendous looking tackle but there was bad blood between the players since Keanes injury a few seasons before involving Haaland.

- Haaland announces on his own website that his subsequent injury problems were not the result of that tackle.

- August 2002, Keane releases autobiography and openly admits that he deliberately set out to injure Haaland.

- August 2002 Haaland and Man City decide to blame Keane on ending Haaland's career and proceed to bring him to court and try and sue him. (16 months after the tackle despite the fact that it was his other leg that forced him into early retirement).

Edit: Whatever happened in this court case, I've heard nothing about it since?

I meant Alf Inge Haaland, I forgot that actually it wasn't that tackle that ended his career. Nevertheless the point still stands, Roy Keane went to destroy his career and the principle alone is disgusting.

Why is Rooney 2nd? I hate Man U but love watching Rooney etc is it just because he's class?

I don't know, I really don't know anyone who 'hates' Rooney, infact, all supporters for all clubs I know love him...

Anyway, my most hated players (in order):

Drogba
Lauren
Lehmann
Bellamy
Robben
Diouf
Neill

Those are the players I really can't stand.

I would place reyes at the top of my list, closely followed by drogba/robben. I just can't stand the way they're always throwing themselves about like fairys.
