Most hated player in Britain

Aye, it's good old fashioned centre forward play, standing on defenders toes when the ball comes in from a corner etc.:)

So is he in fact dirty, or just playing like a past generation which in contrast to todays bunch of pufters makes him look dirty.

Standing on the toes still happens. All players do it.

I think more often than not he catches people rather than looks for them. That's why I think he is physical rather than dirty. The only really bad tackle I've seen him make is the Neil Lennon one.

He's not in the same league as Lauren who looks like he wants to break both your legs whenever you're near him.

I don't mind most of the stuff he does to be honest, barring that ridiculous stamp he did. Most older people would say the same as they grew up with & played against it. Norman Hunter was almost a national hero for being dirty, dirty's good:)

Fabien Bartez

Gary Neville Sami Hyppia Lothar Matthius Lucas Neill

Roy Keane [c] Robbie Savage
Tim Cahill Jose Antonio Reyes

El Hadji Diouf Jurgen Klinsmann

Manager: Alex Ferguson

I wouldn't say he was a cheat as in diving but he certainly cons refs by pretending he's doing nothing wrong whilst booting and elbowing defenders :p
To be fair he gets as much stick back as he gives.

Dawsons 2nd yellow on saturday was typical Shearer.
Pulling each other about , Shearer leaves go and shouts on the ref who then sees Dawson pulling on Shearers arm and has no choice other than to book him.

Cheating ? No.
Unfair ? Maybe.

its not the dirty players i dislike, i love a good meaty challenge!

its all these nancy boys who dive and cry on when someone goes near them. its just annoying.

Definitely & the Catsbumface Anelka type whingers. He'll be right up there on my list when he joins Spurs.

Yes, he is "hated in Britain", by me.

Anelka has been mentioned above, and as far as I'm aware, he is playing for Fenerbache in Turkey.

Surely if it is 'most hated in Britain' with the subject being the haters rather than the hated then there's no point in stating in Britain, as the player could be anywhere :/

For all you know, he could be on vacation in his townhouse in London, making him in Britain at this time.

The post didn't indicate the player has to be currently employed by a British club, simply hated in Britain.

By your idealogy, Lucas Neill, an Australian, is hated only until he goes home, at which point he can't be hated until he touches down back in England, thus allowing him to be hated again.

As I said, Bartez is "hated in Britain" - by me.
