Most hours clocked up in a game and why?

Over 13K hours on my main in Everquest 1 - had a couple of other characters so maybe 15K ? Stopped playing it a few years ago so I can't check but I remember being disappointed that /played = 1 year didn't get you anything (there were all sorts of rumours about an in game reward for it <g>).
BTW that figure was real /played I never logged on and did nothing - I spent one or two hours a day solo kiting for AA then 4-6 hours most nights raiding - I averaged more than 8 hours a day for several years .. and I'd do it again if I found a game / community that made it worthwhile (not to mention either being 20 years younger or in a different job <g>).

DinAlt (Fennin Ro server BTW)

Well if someone wants to do the rough estimated math, mine would by far be Dark Age of Camelot. Lets see..

Started playing in 2001, approx 7 hours per day for a year.
Up to 12 hours per day on average between 2002-2004
5-7 hours per day between 2004-2005
not much between 2005-2007
10-13 hours per day between 2007-2009
8 hours per day 2010

and some lesser times elsewhere

What is it with FM? I've never played it, but don't you just watch a match taking place and make managerial decisions when needed? I think I'd rather play Fifa tbh. :p

I spent pretty much 3 years playing Rainbow Six: Raven Shield. What I wouldn't give for a remake with updated graphics with an optimised engine.

That's a very naive view on it ;)

Try it, it's far more addictive than Fifa!

Is football manager kinda like the general manager feature in the old WWE games? Where you well, do everything, get the results/ratings/money and all that goodness?

Plenty of Football manager demos about. I think they are all on Steam?

You basically control every aspect of a club...Transfers, tactics, training, contracts, press etc. It is very addictive, I even know two people who hate football, but have put hundreds of hours in to it!

Countless hours in Warband. Probably pushing 1000h in total.

The game had an excellent multiplayer community for around a year since the closed beta ended and has been a blast with strong modding support ever since.

It's one of my favourite games of all time due to the sheer number of possibilities and a complex gameplay.

L4D2. Have blown so many hours playing that game, I love it. I think it's the most balanced multiplayer team game I've ever played. Neither side has a particular advantage, it all comes down to good team play and good timing. Prob one of my all time favourite games.

For a single-player game its Skyrim at 330+ hours.

Online game is Final Fantasy XI with 6000+ hours playtime over the last decade.

I've probably played WoW a lot more than any of those and I've been playing a scary amount of Dota 2 recently

So maybe that will become my most played eventually ;)

Wouldn't have a clue, but c&c renegade online must be up there. Number of hours and the number of years I played that. In the thousands at a guess.

SWG again the number of years I played that, not as many as Renegade though.

Probably Ultima Online, I played that game for 6-7 hours a day, macroed over night, rinse and repeat. Until summer came and I was playing 12-13 hours per day. Probably did that for about 2-3 years, love that game. Still do!

WoW, I played hardcore from Vanilla to early WotLK and then went casual through til mid Cata. I had 300+ days played on my main and too many alts to think about. A lot of time wasted. I doubt I'll ever beat that now that the adult world is consuming my soul.
