Most Talented Male Singer

Probably would have to go for Bono. Might be a bit of a pain in the **** but still a showman and great singer, although argueably has lost some of his voice since the Rattle and hum - Zooropa Era
Also notiable mentions
Jakob Dylan (from the wallflowers)
Darius Rucker (hootie and the blowfish)
Adam Duritz (counting Crows)

Freddy was awesome, but I resist giving him godlike status - he was a fantastic singer, but not the highest singer in Queen (that was Roger).

BTW, Barcelona was a solo track, not a Queen thing. The final "BAHHHCELONA" rocks though.

Garm (Kristoffer Rygg).

He's like the Mike Patton of Metal.
He sings for Arcturus (not on the latest album), Ulver, Borknagar's first 2, and for Head Control System.
Great voice.

Maynard James Keenan
Mikael Akerfeldt (Opeth)

Ah. Looks like I've managed to avoid it pretty well then :)
WOW! I'm not a fan of Big Brother but I never can avoid it: ads on C4, continuous coverage on E4 when I'm channel hopping, articles on the BBC News site. It's every bleeding where. Apparently strictly speaking Channel 4 shouldn't broadcast programs like Big Brother but the money it makes from BB pays for others things.

Nice postcount btw.
Lol thanks. Didn't notice that until you mentioned it.:D Suppose I've ruined it now eh!

Nuff Said.

Having just seen them live:

James Mercer

You think his voice is good on record? It really is that good in concert, I could listen to him forever.

Chris Cornell - Beyond the wheel or Slaves and Bulldozers have amazing vocal ranges, scary almost. Personal favourite

Freddie Mercury - I'm currently revisiting my queen albums and realising how impressive his voice is again

Jeff Buckly - If i'm looking for something more sensitive, brilliant writing talent too

Certainly wouldn't say Chris Cornell was the most talented singer but he's probably my favourite.
MJK is very good as is Mike Patten.
Probably Freddy Mercury though.

Robert Plant & Paul Rodgers for me. Honourable mention to James Dean Bradfield (Most under-rated musician in the last 20 years, also one of the best guitarists in that time period too.) and Jack White.

Not that fond of Freddie or Queen as a whole.

I'm surprised no-one's mentioned Bill Shatner either, his work with Ben Folds was extraordinary!
