Garido, last warning - stop your continuing vigil to Casey's name not being used - I'm bored of it and it's constantly taking the thread off topic. No one is using personal attacks bar cobybear who has been suspended for his behaviour.

FWIW - I've always called Casey Stoner, Casey Moaner - as I think he's a whinging bitch. Good rider, not taking that away from him - not at all, he deserves to be called a skillful rider. He is a whinging bitch though and always will be. If you take personal offence to that, then I suggest you need to toughen up a little.
 
on a side note, I'm trying to remember a race in the last few years where the leader crashed while showing off on the start finish straight. For the life of me I can't remember who it was or if it was Moto2 or superbikes. Does anyone remember?

With the rain today and based on the race where he took out Stoner, Rossi may stand a good chance today. Freefaller, I have to agree that Stoner is a huge whinger.

I don't get it, you're poking fun at a rider in the same way others at a recent bike meet did the same. They are attacking the rider, not the background. Either way I never attacked the rider for his name :)

I'm confused. I spoke to Maccy who said I was allowed to correct people as long as they continued to mistype his name. Even earlier you said making fun of others names wasn't looked upon nicely.

Can you please ask the others to stop baiting me? I've tried to continue to steer the topic back into more positive territory. And for what it's worth he is NOT a whinging bitch. I don't understand, someone takes you out of a race and you complain about it, that's whinging, so harsh.

I ask that you please be more fairer and see things in a more open light. I'll have to speak to Maccy about this.

I too think Stoner along with Pedrosa and the like are moaners but for keeping this thread civil just use their names lol

Actually I'll leave you guys to it while I speak to someone else about this issue.

I just want to post that my intention is never take derail the thread, but rather show respect for all riders by referring to them by their given names. While you may feel using a person given name or correcting others is a vigil, it's just as much of a vigil as it is to make fun of them because of their name (which really shouldn't happen in the first place).

I'll leave you guys to it, enjoy the race.
 
No one is baiting you. You're the one getting wound up by other people who are doing absolutely nothing wrong but taking the mick out of a rider with his name... or are you just a sensitive flower? From an Aussie I find that hard to believe - come on dude, toughen up!

I don't know why you're confused - I never said people couldn't take the mick out of riders at all. Of course if you feel you want to correct it fine, but don't make a post SPECIFICALLY correcting people - because frankly, I'm bored of it, and I'm sure every other poster in here is bored of it. It derails the thread. If you really want to correct it, quote someone when you reply to them and edit the quoted post if that makes you feel better.


We are all entitled to our opinions - and if I think Casey is a whinging bitch - I will say so. I'm not being rude to you, not being xenophobic,or even racist or a personal attack on anyone. I think you're being overly jingoistic towards your fellow countryman and taking it to heart.

Banter is banter - if you can't accept it then I don't know what else to suggest. As for being more fairer (sic) - I think I'm being perfectly fair. I've suspended cobybear who was being rude and antagonistic, and I'm letting other people air their views in the ways they see fit - NO one has broken any rules..

I think the name is really harsh because if someone took me out of a race, I'd be complaining too. I can't help but feel many of the posts here are set out to bait me (calling me fake, none genuine, uninformed, these are all attacks, no matter how small).

Look at the end of the day, I just want to discuss MotoGP stuff. I don't want to set out to cause offence or annoy anyone, I kind of felt that the other posters here are genuinely using the name to annoy me and rile a reaction out of me.

Maybe with the rules you have in place I can play a page out of their books and make up a few names of my own? Is that cool with you? For what it's worth whenever I've replied, for the most part, I've tried to correct the person with the relevant name as well as add further discussion or steer away from negativity.

I at the very least hope you can acknowledge that. I've also been very fair in taking my fair share of borderline trolls as well.

I'll be sure to link you to some relevant posts so check your email fairly soon. A lot of the trolling and insults thrown at me were undeserved. Perhaps I'm such a nice guy but I suppose I'll loosen up then :)

Anyways lets hope the race is a cracker.
 
Gutted Simoncelli(sp?) went down but chuffed to bits they are gonna show the 1T's.

Biaggi almost looped his 500 at Brno on the finish line...one of the 250 riders in recent years flipped in on the parade lap after they had finished' going up the hill trying to pull a wheelie. Sorry if people have already answered this...i'm trying to avoid seeing whats happened in the MotoGP while i wait for it to come on Eurosport...

Fantastic win for Stoner, mastered the conditions and is now leading the championship.

That smith kid looks so baby faced but congrats to him doing so well.
 
I got offered a half price ticket last night for todays race. I was gutted I had to say no due to having an exam tomorrow.

Still, was a good race watched from the warmth of my house rather than out cold by the track!
