MOTO GP 2011

It's a bit sad when a race finishes and only 2 riders crossed the line in the same camera shot. :(

Moto2 was cracking though and a massive well done to Bradley. Also nice to see Redding make it to the end of the race and pick up a solid finish and some much needed points.

The way Bradley has adapted to the 600 so quick I'm thinking we are looking at one of the next great riders. Heck once he hits puberty he might be REALLY quick! :D

Makes you wonder what Bradders could have done from a decent grid position really...

Where were you sat Teledude? We watched it on the Copse end (E) could see a lot of the track from there.

It was a bit of a dull race once Lorenzo and Sic came off though as Stoner was just so far ahead he had no competition.

Rossi starting from 13th, incredible got to be one of his worst ever poles surely?
 
Was sat in Luff B - was sooooo cold in the wind though - crazy wind! :D

Stoner was flying but I think the other 2 could have had a good fight with him..I would have called those 3 on the podium in any order - well done to Edwards tho getting 3rd!

Simmo is too much like Hamilton - doesnt give up whatever the weather :D
 
Yeah the race was really close for first few laps Dovi/Lorenzo/Sic holding each other up if they didn't hurry up and get pass Dovi who I think was really holding them 2 back Stoner would have just broke away.

In the end both come off basically trying to get past Dovi and Stoner has it easy anyway.

I have no idea how Rossi will fare on that bike throughout this season last wet race he was ok buuut this was the first time he had been to Silverstone (managed 3-4 laps a few weeks back when opening new building). No dry testing or very little was it this weekend for that team there? So that probably had a bit of an impact on it.

Going to be strange I can't see it improving massively between now and the end but Lorenzo and Sic constantly pushing to keep up with stoner would not be surprised if there are a few more DNF's from either of them and Rossi climbing his way up to probably finish 3rd/4th maybe?

Even if he sorts the bike out next season it all changes again doesn't it with the introduction of the 1000s, does that mean teams will ditch the 800s and all go on 1000s or will these guys stick with those bikes?
 
They imo got Rossi to develop the 2012 1000cc Bike, of which we know he is great at!
2012 will be 1000cc Engines, the 800's are no more, interestingly though some people like BMW are showing an interest in doing a sort of Evo bike, modified engine from the 1000RR but a prototype chassis.

Yesterday at 7:00 we got to a nice spot right near club, shame about the rain but the race itself was fantastic!
Saturdays practice and qualifying was really good in the dry. and the sun was lovely!!!
I shall get some up online later

I think the question is, how much development cash will they want to throw at it knowing it'll be no more at the end of the season. Carbon frames ain't cheap!!!

Can't wait for the 1000's, just hope they are somewhere near the 990's of old.

Although BMW have said they will not enter MotoGP until they have won a World Superbike championship...so we might have to wait a while for them!!!

Cheers FF, its been a long time mate!
A bit disappointed in a way, so hard to get a shot with a 10ft chainlink fence in the way!

Glad I decided to not take the bike, it persisted it down with rain all the way up on friday.. and all day sunday!

Just finished processing and cropping so will upload a few of the better ones (not going to be a comparison to fake snake though!) :)
