MotoGP 2012

Enjoyable race for me. Stoner done well to keep up with Lorenzo then take him. Showed great skill and determination. Lorenzo, i think opted for 2nd place rather than fight for the win, given his lead in the championship. No point risking 25 over 5. I was actually there, seemed to have a lot of Lorenzo fans where i was at. (Corner 1), one was even mimicking riding the bike and leaning along with the race, (mind you i think he was drunk)

All in all a fun day out.

Did Lorenzo confirm why he was passed so easily? Was it a missed gear?

Also what happened for Rossis crash - that bike just seemed to be a missile into the air wall at the top of the corkscrew. Felt sorry for Spies, nothing he could have done and was lucky not to add to his heel injury

Suzuki and Kawasaki were in but pulled out when the economic downturn bit. Suzuki will be back apparently but I suspect Kawasaki will stick with WSBK where Tom Sykes is going great guns for an awful lot less than a MotoGP team.

OMG Rossi's off to Yamaha!!

Hardly OMG

Pretty much on the cards, soon as the start of the season started and Spies was having a hard time.

Next news will be Cal signing on the factory Duke !

I'm hoping Rossi can bounce back and be as fast as Jorge. It'll be not as easy as you think. He may of lost his edge. Jorge is still the number 1.

This really is what MotoGP , Dorna was also pushing for. Rossi is so good for MotoGP. Having him running in mid-grid was not good for MotoGP.

I'm obviously a fan, so i hope he wins the 1st race in 2013 to get everyone standing on the grandstand ! Just like he did back in Welkom in 2004, the first time he rode and won on the M1.

Do you not think Dorna need to plan for a future without Rossi? No doubt he is still the big draw, but he will retire eventually - could be as soon as a couple of years - and nobody from the current crop seems likely to become much more popular in his stead. Even looking at the riders who may move up from Moto2/3 I don't see any "characters" (Iannone maybe?).

I too will be glad to see him on a competitive bike but it's not all great for the future of MotoGP, especially alongside Stoner/Spies both leaving the series.
