MotoGP 2012

It was the least exciting of the three, IMO - and that's usually the form for the GP weekend, sadly. I still enjoy watching it, but my interest is always tailing off after the nutjob-fests that are moto2 and moto3 :) if I had to stop watching one race in a GP weekend, it would be motoGP, without doubt or real sadness.

It was a little boring but when they showed the onboard cam from Staceys bike following Pedrosa  the sound of those 2 Hondas was sublime.

1. Casey Stoner (Aus) Repsol Honda 1:31:796
2. Ben Spies (USA) Yamaha + 0.193
3. Dani Pedrosa (Spa) Repsol Honda + 0.285
4. Cal Crutchlow (GB) Tech 3 Yamaha + 0.492
5. Jorge Lorenzo (Spa) Yamaha + 0.585

Well done Cal I hope he gets in the top 3 today

Well that has evened it up a little.
2 Honda's miles in front of everyone else and Stoner comes off what 2-3 corners from the end? I bet Lorenzo can't believe his luck!
Cal was doing so well and just over cooked it, he could have had that he was definitely faster but was being cut off.

Bit of a surprise at the end there! Shame Cal ran on as he looked good for 4th which would have been a podium thanks to Stoner binning it.

From watching this weekend the rumors are that Pedrosa is staying with Honda, Spies with Yamaha and Cal is looking likely to go to Ducati. Wonder if they will go against what they say and have two Spanish riders in the repsol Honda team next year?

a bit of a bore'fest again if i'm honest. Felt bad for Stoner/Cal.

I love that circuit though :)

Same here, nearly turned it off after 5 laps. Those Hondas are just too quick, and I was getting frustrated watching Cal pussy footing around with Dovi for 90% of the race.

Not sure I would ride that Ducati no matter how much money they threw at me... seems a bit of a career killer (if I was a top MotoGP rider that is... of course I would ride it if i was talking about little old me :D )

He wouldn't have ended up at Honda anyway, it was always going to be Marquez's seat.

I still think Cal would be better off staying with Tech 3 than going to Ducati but he seems determined to make the switch.

the problem staying with tech 3 is they will be like they were in the 800cc on a year old bike, this year because they moved to 1000cc they had the same bike as the works team, just a few updates behind at best.
next year it will be a year again and he know it will be hard
also he would have to stay 2 years.
i dont really like the idea of going to ducati but its the only way to get a works bike at the mo

Spies and Lorenzo confirmed at Yamaha then? I thought Spies seat was still doubtful...

Surely Hayden and Rossi again at Ducati though? or has Hayden said otherwise?
