MOTOGP 2015

Why don't they release that video? it would stop all this. But as it stands for me pictures don't lie.
The thing that gets me is they said "CCTV video, it shows Lorenzo passing Valentino into Turn 1 with no yellow flags"
But the other video tells another story. Unless the flag was raised in a blink of an eye as they went past.
By rights the Senior Sector Marshal should have radioed this in to Race Control!

The person with the picture is now sending it to all parties.

Oh and I don't follow any rider or team in Moto :)

You've obviously not watched the race (same can probably be said for a few others too i reckon), the pass was made very early in the race, there was only 2 riders in front of them, none of which had gone off or wide there. So anything to cause a yellow flag would have been from the lap before (again nothing happened), or from behind them, which is exactly as explained, in the link previously posted.

I did watch the race and it was great. I just wondered why they don't show the CCTV footage to put an end to this.
It doesn't matter when the flag was brought out as every rider should have known what it meant.
What I mean by that is a rider sees a yellow flag at 100mph. Does one pull over to ask what it's for or carry one and follow the rules?

The racing director is more to blame then anyone. He could\should have shown the black\white flag to both rossi and MM(Think I got the right flag)

Loads of the main sites have picked on that picture and JL was asked in the race interview about it and got angry :D

Really looking forward to the next race. I can see a great battle for the title.

Just for giggles I've watch the race and yes, JL overtook Rossi on the 2nd lap under a yellow. It's plain to see.
But I'll leave it there :)

EDIT. A friend just showed me a video from German Eurosport. Hmmm it's a close call on that flag.

Main sites are trying to ride this out for more site traffic, nothing stories are being posted all over the place. Example Vettel siding with Rossi, of course he is, he drives for Ferrari, the italian fans would go mad if he said anything other than that.

It was said the marshal saw a rider behind running deep into the corner and pulled his flag out expecting him to go off track. Whether this actually happened or not i don't know. No rider went off track and therefore the corner was never actually under yellow flag caution. The flag was shown in that picture but it also shows Lorenzo already ahead at that point. If it's true that the flag was brought out in expectation of a rider going off behind, There is no way that flag would have been shown when Rossi and Lorenzo were going into the breaking area.

As you've rewatched it, did you see why the yellow came out by any chance? I've not rewatched it at all, interested in what is shown on the tv.

I agree with most you say.
But the race director said there was no yellow flag when JL overtook Rossi.
Then today he comes back with "well yes there was a yellow flag by an overzealous person.

So the point I'm trying to make is that there was a yellow flag and JL shouldn't of overtook Rossi.
For all we know Rossi could have backed off as he saw the yellow flag only for JL to take him

It doesn't matter who raised the flag and for what reason. The riders know the rules when there is a yellow flag. And the flag was raised.

I can see most riders letting Rossi through till he reach's MM\JL.
Who wants to be known as the person who held up Rossi! :D

So Rossi has appealed the sport of arbitration! Can't see FIM changing their verdict, but who knows?

I Think Rossi is probably doing this to put more pressure on Marc and Lorenzo going into the final race more than anything, keep the spot light on them and what they are doing. Every action they take is going to be over analysised in the final race. Any genuine mistake by Marc will be labelled as a Lorenzo gift. If Marc finishes in front of Rossi and behind Lorenzo, the italians and Rossi fans will be calling for his head.

I can see Rossi coming 4th if Dani, Marc and Lorenzo have a clean race with no problems. So Marc could very easily gift the title to Lorenzo by finishing 3rd behind Lorenzo. If it finishes like that i wouldn't want to be in Marc's shoes, even if he doesn't do anything suspicious in the race.

Marc might have had intentions to hold Rossi up in Sepang, I don't think that was the case in Australia. But I believe that stemed from Rossi's comments before the race. Basically calling Marc a lier and a cheat in public.

If the flag came up after they hit the breaks they wouldn't have seen it anyway, which is very much a possibility if it was for a rider behind them. As soon as they hit the breaks from over 200mph they'll be looking at the apex of the corner, not to the outside of the corner for a flag. But I do see your point about the the flag being out, the accident was behind them, not in front. You can't expect a rider to premept accidents behind them surely?

None of the riders will let Rossi past, but he will get through very quickly. he'll be inside the top 10 after lap 1, I suspect the other Yamaha bikes wouldn't make it too difficult for him, but he wouldn't normally have trouble getting past them anyway. The only bikes he'll have trouble with is the ducati's I reckon. With them being Italian, they may decide to help out, but then he is also an ex rider for them, so it'll be interesting to see how that pans out.

Yamaha have issued a Press release complaining about Repsol & Honda stating that Rossi kicked, Now Honda have retaliated with a statement that sensors indicate that Marques's brake was locked which must have been a kick !

This will run and run ....

Haven't they called a meeting between all of the MotoGP staff? Never done it before apparently.

I'm hoping Rossi can at least get back towards the front and put up some sort of fight.

A meeting was called for all riders and managers. I imagine this is to replace the press conference... and to try and clear up a few things after the Yamaha-Honda "tit-for-tat" that's going on.

The incident was between Rossi and Marquez, but it seems other riders and the teams want to have their say, generally making it bigger than it really is.
