I'd previously said that it was a 2 horse race for the championship. It's really looking like a 3 horse race and with MM93 riding the way he is at present he's a definite contender.
Repsol & HRC are parting ways at the end of the year. There's been rumours for years but it's been confirmed now and I'm not surprised. Repsol can't be happy at paying the big bucks to have their name plastered on a bike that gets this little exposure on TV.
Honda & Yamaha are in a very similar position. I'm still surprised that FQ stuck around with Yamaha. I know he's getting $$$ to ride that POS around, but it can't be overly motivating for any rider to know you've zero chance of a win.
You could be forgiven for thinking that's been the case for a couple of years. The only time you really see an HRC bike these days is when it's been thrown into a gravel trap.
