Rossi highsided at 120mph in FP2

Stretchered off holding right leg and in a lot of pain :(

Latest info says he has a suspected fracture of his right shin bone (tibia)

Ouch

Gutted.
Looks like the titles Lorenzo's now, can't see anyone else really challenging him.

Wonder if he'll think of retiring at the end of the year now.

It's odd that it's so unexpected, he always seems to get away with crashing with no real injuries...

Surprised they're saying august though, chuck some titanium in there and a some hefty painkillers and jobs a good'un :p

Definately looks good for Lorenzo now, who can really match him at the moment?

Also be interesting to see who joins Lorenzo in the works Yamaha, Spies maybe?

Would be good for Yamaha to see how well Spies goes on a 'works' bike, and could have a big effect on his and Lorenzo's worth come contract time.

Depends if they want another young Buck mixing it with Lorenzo I suppose!

Might prefer Edwards as a more experienced teammate who probably wouldn't challenge him to much but is plenty capable.

Don't think we'll ever see Toesland in GP's again.

Maybe Spies on the works bike and Herve can bring one of his boys up from Moto2 to ride with Edwards.

I wondered about Toseland coming back to tech 3 to replace whoever moved up but tbh can't see it happening he's not the future of Yamaha in Moto GP they'll just blood a youngster from the lower classes I'd expect.

If Brno is on the cards for a return then he'll miss

June 26 Netherlands Assen
July 4 Catalunya Catalunya
July 18 Germany Sachsenring
July 25 United States Laguna Seca

I would assume that Tech 3 would be pretty upset at one of their riders being poached for 4 races. Unless theres a decent compensation package of course ;)

Ouch

I love the understatement... by all accounts the bottom of his leg was at an entirely impossible angle, and the bone punctured through the skin.

Gonna be a very strange race on Sunday with no Valentino.

Yeah, saw the footage at the beginning of the qualifying on eurosport, damn that was a quick crash.

And they showed a picture of him in the gravel trap, could see the ankle/foot at a very odd angle, not nice (but then not as bad as the Camier/Cadwell footage :s)

Anyway, they mentioned he's been airlifted to Florence and he is/was in surgery already so good news.

Also mentioned that he was waiting for the end of the season to have an operation on his shoulder, so looks like that'll come now so when he does get back he'll actually be back to full fitness and ready to win another world championship or three :p

HAS to be Lorenzos now.

Stoner doesnt have any excuses this season and is way behind as it stands.

Pedrosa isn't mentally strong enough to deal with the pressure or to ride his ass off for an entire race.

You would think that Lorenzo has it now , even this early in the season. Stranger things have happened and he's not averse to the odd big highside either ;)

Stoner's head and heart just isn't in it and the word is he's off to Honda anyway so count him out.

Pedrosa is never up for a fight and you always have doubts over his ability physically to last a race distance.

Its already been intimated that Rossi won't race in MotoGP again as he has nothing to prove and will start his own team , where this comes from god only knows ;)

Watched it with my Dad earlier gutted that Rossi is out. Neither of us like Lorenzo just something about him but can't see anyone else beating him. Can't see him being back this season - he should take the time to rest/think (it looked v.nasty though).

I wonder if Rossi will either retire or possible take the challenge of Ducati and end his career at the Italian team?
