Wouldn't it be weird if this was the guy on here (whose username escapes me) that is a first responder?

What Burnsey

edit* oh no, West - yeah that would be weird.

Only need a 'Captain Fireman' now and we've got the set

Properly weird. Thing that creeps me out the most is all the clothing in the back and the bits cut out from high vis vests etc. I wonder what possesses someone to do all that. Dream of being a paramedic but didn't get the job or something? :o

What an idiot!

Doubly so for painting all the exterior contrasting bits red and blacking out the rear lights.

[Nissan ZEOD promo]

I think the key thing for making any changes to the perception of EVs will be publicity at least as much as technology. There are already EVs with racing levels of performance. The difference with ZEOD is more that Nissan has a far bigger budget and media presence. A EV conversion done on a relatively small budget with batteries from a sponsor just can't get the same levels of media coverage, whatever its performance, and usually can't get a headline-grabbing top speed mainly because they can't afford the necessary parts and development. An EV that does 0-60 in <2s and tops out at ~125 without gears is a lot cheaper than one that has gears and is stable at much higher speeds, even if the same motor, etc, could be used.

I wonder what ZEOD's range will be while racing. 20 miles, maybe? Enough...if you have a lorryload of batteries and quick battery swapping.
