I am desperate for alonso to join RBR. Having both him and Vettel in the same machinery would produce some excitement for the title I'm sure. I can see either that happening, or Alonso dominating, but I'd love to see it unfold.

Cause it's Ferrari innit? Everyone wants to drive for them and anyone who doesn't is a fool. F1 wouldn't exist without Ferrari, blah blah blah, etc. (In Montezemolo's head that is).

Even Bernie knows F1 needs Ferrari, and Ferrari needs F1 but don't you worry about it :) Most drivers do indeed want to drive for Ferrari sorry.

I've heard zero buzz around Ferrari's engine, whereas the Renault one appears to be comfortably the most expensive. Hardly concrete, but it seems Renault at least are very confident they'll have a strong engine. Obviously we can't read anything into the cars themselves until testing and even then, it's hard to get a decent picture.

Yeah it would seem Ferrari are behind Renault and Merc with the 2014 engine so far, if rumours are true. But still time to sort that out I guess.

Well, except for all of the top 4 drivers right now, if rumours about Alonso are to be believed.

Vettel stated his desire to drive for Ferrari, Alonso has driven for them, So did Kimi want to, it's also rumoured Hamilton tried to get a drive but Alonso wasn't having any of it.

Button too said he wanted to drive for ferrari at some point.

The lure does still seem to be there.

Ferrari are said to be starting a 3 day test today at Magny Cours with the 2011 chassis and De La Rosa, someone better warn Drunkenmaster it might flip him over the edge :D

No doubt there's still a lure for Ferrari, but right now it seems even their current star driver doesn't particularly want to drive for them. Would all those guys love to driving a Ferrari in a few years if they are back to a championship winning standard? Yep. Right now? Not so much.

Dunno if it's been posted already but...

Proof kimi's on his way to RB..

Where on earth are you getting that Alonso wants out of Ferrari?

@ Outcast - Haha, thats definatly proof.

Well Alonso isn't happy that is plain to see, he hasn't been doing much to mask his annoyance. Also was reported on sky coverage this weekend (and assume other places would have too) that Alonso's manager has been talking to Red Bull. Whether that means anything is speculation but I don't think its a leap to get to Alonso is fed up and wants to be in a winning team.

Sky did report that and others, but Alonso's manager also manages Carlos Sainz who tested for Torro Rosso and Red Bull at Silverstone, a picture also showed Carlos Sainz's dad was also there talking to Horner. So I am not so sure they were talking about Alonso ;)
