Be proper **** if the Hulk doesn't get a seat. Shows what's a balls up F1 has got it self into.

It certainly would, seems Force India (maybe Sauber too) are hanging on to see what happens with Lotus so he should be on the grid next year but it is a sad state of affairs that Maldonado is even being considered in place of him.

The Massa and Smedley to Williams rumours I'm actually liking, Smedley is great and hope he is going to a higher up role there (although will miss the team radio) and it'd be nice to see what Massa can do as a potential team leader/mentor.

If maldanado gets in its pretty much the end for lotus
No one wants him, only his money
Suppose it's better than no lotus. Hope he does ok. Ugh, that's painful

3 teams for the championship from now on then (probably one)

if Maldonado goes to Lotus, I won't be a Lotus fan anymore. I simply cannot stand him or his driving style. FFS I hope the Lotus board focus on raising cash other than PDVSA (which seems corrupt to the core - also Total/Grosjean partnership would not work anymore) and go with Boullier's Hulk recommendation

/rant over

well that is no surprise tbh. too many roosters in that hen house

not sure he will go to McLaren. Whitmarsh is a McLaren test tube baby, secondly Brawn doesn't have fond memories of Honda when they left him out in the cold

if Brawn stays I think it will be Williams. I think he has a stake in that company already and they need some serious help over there. Nepotism isn't working over there.

He would certainly add to McLaren's "big name" signings that Whitmarsh was talking about a few weeks back, but I think Williams would be falling over themselves to get to him.

No surprise that Brawn is leaving Mercedes. Ever since Paddy Lowe arrived his days were numbered. Wolf, Lowe and Brawn as the 3 guys in charge just doesn't work.

I would love to see Brawn at Williams. Could be a great acquisition to the team with the massive changes for 2014. Also with Maldonado due to leave, it could open the way for Massa to join too. Could be exciting times for Williams. Maldonado IMO hasn't done enough anyway to warrant a seat next year at Williams, nor any team for that matter.

Only other places for Brawn to go, Lotus or McLaren? I just can't see the Lotus idea working. Yes they lost James Allison to Ferrari but Brawn isn't really a replacement.

McLaren could be a possibility. They have a budget / resources that could suit Brawn. He wouldn't have to deal with Mercedes as the teams 2014 power train supplier. Honda come in to fill that role next year. Brawn didn't have the best of relationships with them when in charge of the team a few years ago though. Maybe they can patch things up and move forward?

I do hope that Hamilton didn't join Mercedes because of Brawn...

I think he did, which would be a bit of a shame.

There were rumours that Brawn might invest in Williams (which he denied), could be a good move though I think.

Andi.

I think he was a big factor, he even said in a recent feature on Sky (I think) that he was really hoping for Brawn to stay.

I'm sure it won't trouble him too much, guess it depends how good his relationship with Paddy Lowe is from the McLaren days. Personally he's never struck me as a leader, more of a techy numbers and engineering guy, but who knows.

YESSSS!!!!!! BRAWN BUTTON MCLAREN HONDA :D GET IN!!!!

Not a hope in hell after the last time.

I think he did, which would be a bit of a shame.

The only way to get in to Williams is to buy Wolfs share in the company.
I'm for one sad to see him go and I don't Lewis will be happy either.

Can't wait to find out who is running the team in 2014 and how they are going to do it.

Wolf is running the financial side, Lowe the technical and sporting. They won't have a single team principal, as they apparently don't believe that is how things should be done now.

Can't see that working tbh but I hope I'm wrong.
If it was me I would have each drivers engineer in charge of each side of the garage but they still share data ect
and Low\Wolf get on with their bit.
