I still haven't changed my mind, I still can't see the race happening.

It's not just safety, it's sponsors image and press, being able to say we didn't want to go there at this time of unrest blah blah blah.

:( sister just texted me, they have a McLaren car in the lobby at work and can apply to do a 3 man pits top tyre change on it :(, I'm a little green eyed.

The only people who really want the Bahrain GP to happen is Bernie, the Bahraini crown and McLaren shareholders (who are Bahrainis).

It's all down to money, and it's sickening.

F1 is all about money though.

What gets my back up more is that they are flying the "oh, we can't go there and been seen to be supporting the terrible human rights problems" flag, yet are all set to jet off to China in a couple of weeks...

Bernies has said this about the Bahrain GP:

"I don’t think people demonstrating a little bit are going to use anything to do with F1. If they did, would be a little bit silly"
If the teams go there and someone gets attacked, or worse, Bernie is going to have a lawsuit of a lifetime on his hands.

This, really. Either get on with it or just pull out of China as well.

So hot on yesterdays news of the rumoured return of the Argentinian GP, comes news that the French PM is visiting Paul ricard tomorrow to announce a French GP deal, possibly that it will be a alternating years deal with Spa.

Im 50/50 on the Spa deal rumour.

I love Spa, so having it only every other year would be a shame, but if the options are a choice between Spa every other year or no Spa at all, I'll take the alternating deal.

I am sure Bernie will get round to dealing with them, seems Ferrari and Red Bull have reached a deal for the new concorde.
