Pleeeeeease be red and white livery next year, assuming Jenson stays, otherwise pink will do.

The red and white were the Marlboro colours and had been on the car long before Honda came onboard.

Honda themselves tend to use white and red (more so in the 60s than their taking over of BAR), but I can't say I've ever seen a car coloured after an engine partner? Nothing is springing to mind anyway.

It might well be red and white and equally it could be the old orange but more likely they'll stick with the current McLaren (F1 anyway) favourite of chrome.

Where would the red come from? Honda's motorsport colour is white, and I've not seen any sponsors that would bring red branding :(

Plenty of white-and-red in the Honda F1 back catalogue.

I'm sure they can work something out :)

The chrome on McLaren is from Mercedes. The yellow in Renault after Renault left the team is Renaults motoraport colour.

But the Honda partnership is more than just a supplier. They are effectively the Honda factory team. McLaren get the engines for free, the least Honda would expect is to have some say in the paint colour :)

But the red (mainly a dot) was only because of the Japanese flag.

Even the colour of the car in 2006 was because of the Lucky Strike sponsor.

To be honest though, anything would be better than a silver car with no sponsors

Grosjean can't even win against David guetta

In plus side Lotus on podium lol

See - David guetta - dangerous video
:-P

The McLaronda did 100km today, equivalent of 16 laps of Silverstone. Which is more than Red Bull managed for the whole of the first test they attended over 4 days.

That was meant to be happening today?

It is happening today. It's a tweet from Will Buxton which people have misread.

Bernie truly shows how ignorant he can be in this interview. Well worth reading.

http://www.campaignasia.com/Article...e-ecclestone-on-his-billion-dollar-brand.aspx

"I'm not interested in tweeting, Facebook and whatever this nonsense is," said Ecclestone in the interview, where he talks about F1's financial problems and the future direction of the sport.

"I tried to find out but in any case I'm too old-fashioned. I couldn't see any value in it. And, I don't know what the so-called 'young generation' of today really wants. What is it?"

Asked if he believed there was no value in attracting a young audience, Ecclestone said: "If you have a brand that you want to put in front of a few hundred million people, I can do that easily for you on television.

"Now, you're telling me I need to find a channel to get this 15-year-old to watch Formula 1 because somebody wants to put out a new brand in front of them? They are not going to be interested in the slightest bit.

"Young kids will see the Rolex brand, but are they going to go and buy one? They can't afford it. Or our other sponsor, UBS — these kids don't care about banking. They haven't got enough money to put in the bloody banks anyway.

"That's what I think. I don't know why people want to get to the so-called 'young generation'. Why do they want to do that? Is it to sell them something? Most of these kids haven't got any money.

"I'd rather get to the 70-year-old guy who's got plenty of cash. So, there's no point trying to reach these kids because they won't buy any of the products here and if marketers are aiming at this audience, then maybe they should advertise with Disney."

He really is a dinosaur in a digital age. F1 doesn't even have an official YouTube account but still spends time asking youtube to remove F1 videos. Sure they have an official Twitter account but snapchat? Nope. Instagram? Nope. If they worked social media more they can turn those kids into lifelong fans but they're not. Football clubs and supermarkets know that young people can be turned into customers and fans for life. Bernie only wants people with money now which is incredibly short sighted.

Clearly Bernie hasn't thought about the fact that these 15 year old kids with no money he's no interested in are the next generations bankers and guys buying Rolex's!?

Then again maybe he has and knows he'll be dead by the time they are and is only interested in the money now not in 10 years time, doubt any of his family will carry on running the show so he's just in it for making cash now and sod the future.
