So talent and ability becomes more important than the size of your pockets?

I still think some teams would take a completely **** driver with lots of money over someone with ability. Look at Pastor Malintent, he's been average at best his entire career.

Average at best would be the most consistent driver ever. :p

To be fair, he's capable of utter brilliance, as he's shown on numerous occasions throughout his career, but he's constantly countering them with utter numbnuticy.

I get the feeling that in a strong car he could be very good, but it's going to take a lot of aligning of planets for that to happen. Like Ferrari going bust or something.

"The U.S. bucked the sport’s wider trend of declining audiences over the past six years. In that time, the global viewership has slipped steadily from 600 million viewers in 2008 to 425 million in 2014"

When will the FIA and Bernie learn to leave well alone. F1 has lost almost 30% of it's audience.

I've got them working in Kodi so I'm good to go ;)

Is your drum not worn out yet?

There not even talking about V8s any more

Lets look at the facts not opinion.

More people in the world watch F1 when they had V8 engines then now. In fact F1 has lost 30% in viewing figures since 2008.

They will go back to V8s sooner or later in my opinion.

V8s? Nah, if we're going to go backwards (just what F1 embodies, right?) then lets just all the way and go for the BRM H16 - Sixteen cylinders of fabulousness.

Yeh if we're going to go backwards steps lets skip the V8 era, as the V10s sounded much better, as did the V12s from the early 90s! (I'm looking at you Ferrari :D)

The McLaren Honda MP4/4 used a V6 twin turbo ;) so no more of this "back in time ****" :)

Wow. That's amazing.

In your attempt to use facts you state that a 30% decline in F1 viewing figures in the 7 seasons between 2008 and 2014 is due to a change in engine regulations that was in effect for only 1 of those seasons.

Please explain how the V6 engines caused F1 viewing figures to decline between 2008 and 2013? Make sure you use facts now.

(Oh, and because you clearly missed it, the fact is the group pushing for 1000bhp engines and rule changes for 2016 or 2017 have shifted their suggestions for achieving this to changes in the V6 regulations to allow them to rev higher and use more fuel. V8s, or NAs in general aren't even on the table any more. Keep up)

All I'm getting from the 'facts' are that viewing figures declined after the V8s were introduced :)

I'll say it again, if all you want is loud motorsports just head on over to Top Fuel dragsters. They'll rip your face off with noise (not to mention the nice short attention span requirements).
