so only 4 engines for the season!

If Mclaren have similar failings as to what happened in testing could they get around the penalty stating some kind of safety reasons?
 
Good. Never underatoond why Honda thought they would be allowed more?

The rules for 2015 are 4 engines, so they get 4 engines. Why would they feel they could pick and chose regulations from past years to suite them?
 
Where did they say this?

As part of the whole argument about the engine rules and wether Honda were allowed tokens or not, or were to be homoligated, there was also the suggestion they should get 5 engines rather than 4 because its their first year, and all the other teams had 5 when it was their first year.
 
I'm assuming they used that as part of their negotiation to get their current token allowance. Originally they were more restricted, both parties compromised.
 
Fairly standard crash in the Aussie V8s a couple of weeks ago, but the little details in the super slow-mo are incredible as you would never see them at normal or even slow speed. Also shows the car deformation quite well.

Renault has revealed some details of the gains it has made with its second generation V6 hybrid turbo power unit.

The engine manufacturer says it is now able to harvest 25% more thermal energy than it could 12 months ago.

It has also found further gains in efficiency, allowing it to use less fuel. Renault claim their new engine is at least 5% more efficient at all speeds, making it “among the most fuel efficient engines in the world”.

I like how Cyril emphasised that Renault completed 9000km of mileage in the tests, Yet it was still 2k short of Ferrari and half of what the Merc PU had achieved. (Two less teams testing though)

I personally wouldn't mind them buying Team Enstone back and really amounting a push as a factory works outfit. I wonder if Flavio might show up in some capacity... :p
