I'm going to make an effort to follow it this season. Same with the Aussie V8s, although I trailed off a bit towards the end of the season. I only watched the F1 because it was on at a convenient time (~7am) and I didn't have to plan my day around it.
Get yourselves to Silverstone for the opener in April then if you can. Last year's race was fantastic, ELMS does a 4 hour race after WEC qualifying on Saturday and the whole weekend ticket is £40 - plus there's free roam of the grandstands (though they don't open all of them).
Still £1.51 too much.

Obviously don't know what's going on behind closed doors but I suspect that, in the face of general turmoil in Venezuela and crashing oil prices, PDVSA were trying to renegotiate their sponsorship and Renault have told them to take a running jump. Renault will want Total in anyway so it probably just gives them the get-out they need.
Read some article the other day about how Loldo has always tried to "shake the pay driver tag" which is utterly hilarious as he's the very defininition of a pay driver and, as soon as his sponsorship dries up, he's out on his ear. I would say don't let the door hit you in the *** on the way out but he'll crash into it anyway.

I don't generally have a problem with the minnow teams employing pay drivers to stay afloat as they're not going to finish anywhere in the races anyway. What riles me is when blatant pay drivers who lack any real talent end up in decent mid-field teams, taking up seats which should go to drivers with actual talent.

They really are annoying, for a start it's not just about engines. Look at the other merc powered teams.
Secondly it was fine when it was all aero dominated and they were winning.

That's the big thing for me, total hypocrisy now it's dominated by something other than aero and Newey's been effectively neutralised.
