Lol, I'd forgotten about Maldonado punting the Lotus off in Aus.

Janesy, was it the race that happened before the Le Mans 24 hours? If so the massive crash and subsequent safety car meant that there was only about 10 minutes of racing anyway.

No that was the legends, this is a separate event over the course of this weekend at Le Mans. It's a bi annual thing.

DC and Ken Block present Gymkhana FIVE: Ultimate Urban Playground; San Francisco.
Shot on the actual streets of San Francisco, California, GYM5 features a focus on fast, raw and precise driving action. Filmed over four days, director Ben Conrad and his team are back to work on their second Gymkhana production and delivered the entire city of San Francisco as Ken Block's personal gymkhana playground. DC Shoes also provided fellow DC athlete and longtime Ken Block friend, Travis Pastrana, to make a cameo appearance on his dirtbike, and S.F. resident Jake Phelps of Thrasher Magazine fame also makes a cameo as Block hoons S.F. in his most incredible Gymkhana yet.

Just watching the World Series by Renault from Moscow Raceway (FR 3.5 series).

I really hope they don't try and use this track for F1, its terrible.

And FR 3.5's new car for this year has DRS, but its available to all drivers all the time, with usage limited to a number of seconds over the whole race (400 seconds in this 45 minute race). Before anyone jumps in saying "F1 should do that, its much better than the current system", its not. Its rubbish. It simply doesn't work. Whenever an attacking driver uses it, the driver in front uses it to defend and the effect is nullified. The result is an incredibly boring processional race.

Hmmm seems theres speculation that Rossi might stay at Ducati :(. Really hoped Yahama might have been tempted, especially now that Honda have sewn up their two drivers...

ps3ud0

Because of the new 'maximum number of bikes' rule it's essentially scuppoered any chance Rossi had of either getting a works bike from a satelite squad or running his own team. In light of that, he's better off staying where he is. Once the Audi takeover has been completed and they start with their perfectionist approach Ducati will be told to win, even if that means changing the fundamental aspects of the bike and the bike could come good.

I do worry about Nicky Hayden though. The guy is a credit to Ducati. he always just put his head down and gave it full gas. never complained too much, always was respectful when talking to the press and it would appear they're going to hang him out to dry. last rumour I heard was they were trying to get him to ride for Ducati in WSBK with the 'be the first rider to win the MotoGP and WSBK world titles' but the Ducatis really are not as fast as the BMW's and Aprilia's these days and unless Ducati come back with a full works team Dorna (I think? Do they still run WSBK as well?) won't listen to the privateers moaning about unfair regulations. Ducati are already granted several modifications that aren't allowed on the 4 Cyl bikes to keep them competitive. unfortunately this also makes the Ducati's more expensive to run!

“I Just Made the Tea” reviewed - I Just Made the Tea: Tales from 30 Years Inside Formula

http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/2012/07/15/tea-review/

“Mario Andretti’s wife stuck in toilet”, reads one. “Driver’s wig came off in balaclava” and “cleaned his ear out with a Twiglet, which someone ate” are others.

Might get this, looks like an amusing read. £10.97 @ the rain forest

Something doesn't make sense about Lewis Hamilton at the moment... he's saying he wants to hold fire before signing a contract saying it will depend on how good the Mclaren is and whether it's going to give him championships before signing anything... but he says it would be nice to sign something in the Summer break... which I believe is after the next two races? So if Mclaren don't deliver by then he's going elsewhere?
