theres rumours redbull are going to launch a stars and stripes team with american drivers.

i guess torro rosso would simply be renamed and the current drivers who havent impressed would be given the boot

How would they find any American drivers would would be better than any of the current drivers or reserve drivers?

They took the best guy from CART and he was completely shocking in F1. Even an average Joe European driver will be better than any top flight American single seater driver*.

Unless it money motivated... but then Red Bull don't strike me as needing massive pay drivers to balance their books?

Could just be they are launching an American based team to compete in American race series like IndyCar and NASCAR (aren't they already heavily involved in sponsorship?) and promote American young drivers in America. Nothing to do with F1.

*massive generalisation, but I seriously doubt they could find two young American drivers better than anything the rest of the world has to offer

get Danica! (lol)

Then again, Sunday afternoons filled with Danica might alter my opinion :p

Red Bull is huge in the states, Dietrich can do no wrong in their eyes as he has promoted minor sports regardless of cost all in the name of promoting the brand. That is what Red Bull do best. Well that and build awesome F1 cars! No bias here :)

I remember that. ITV cut to ads just as we saw the first glimpse of him  .

I can't imagine someone being hit by a 150mph F1 car would make for suitable Sunday afternoon TV. Anyone who's had the missfortune to see that old F1 car/marshal/fire extinguisher incident will know that all too well.

Once they were sure that he want hit they showed the replay.

. i'm not really used to things that you say that i dont agree with being sarcasm though

sarcasm - the use of remarks which clearly mean the opposite of what they say, and which are made in order to hurt someone's feelings or to criticize something in a humorous way

according to the cambridge dictionary

but maybe you think bernie does whats in the best interest of the circuits , the fans and the teams

Having read the Alonso love in that is this months F1 Racing, I really want someone to start beating him. I have more faith in RBR to do this than McLaren at the moment.

Give in to the darkside, I used to detest the bloke more than you did. I haven't seen anyone adapt to a car/tyres as fast or get as much out of lacking equipment in modern f1 as him in all my life.

I think it just took him quite a while to grow up. He's still only 31 after all and the mclaren issues he was what in his mid 20's?

It's been years since I read F1 racing regularly, I might start using the clubcard deal to get it cheap now I've cancelled my good food sub :D

they did? because recall seeing all of it, maybe it was a replay though

i remember another one in germany or somewhere aswell

They did show a replay.

It was like the moment Schumacher's engine blew up at Suzuka in 2006. We saw a plume of smoke at the top of the hill just as they cut to ads, and I was thinking "surely not... Schumacher hasn't had a failure for years, so it couldn't be him now of all times" and switched on the radio and 5Live franticly, and sure enough, they were talking of how he'd retired (radio is about 10-15 quicker than digital TV) and that he needed a minor miracle in Brazil to win.

I've started to see the "best driver on the grid" thing this year (never really saw what he did over the last 4 or 5 years to merit it) and I've been very impressed with his attitude this year.

However, I still can't stand the bloke. Lol. Can't deny he's got skills tho. It's going to take a mammoth effort from someone to beat him.
